"I cannot wait," Kira remarked after the taxi door was closed and she settled herself in, "I want to hear all about it." He retracted a slight glance back at the three and then moved back to her normal tance, giggling.

Riley shuffled his foot around on the cement uncomfortably as the taxi began driving away. He shifted his laptop case back over to a vacant shoulder before turning to the other two girls. He almost wished Kira had said nothing at all, that would've improved matters a good deal. "so, what do you think about the case?" he asked.

Emily swallowed hard when she heard Riley talk and she watched the taxi leave. She bit her lower lip and then slowly looked over to him. "Um... I don't really know what to think of it right now." She said nervously and then looked down to the ground, not saying another word.

Lannie was started from her thoughts by the silence. "I don't know," she said, plowing through the awkward air around the three. "It's...intriguing, I suppose. What do you think?"

Riley glanced up the street quickly before looking back at Lannie and Emily. "I don't know what to think of it yet," he paused, "it's definitely going to be interesting though." His eyes traveled back down at the ground as well. An awkward silence filled the air as he tried to think of something else that might stimulate more of a conversation between the three of them. Fellow travelers walked or ran by them to their own taxis or families. An airport was definitely an interesting place to do people-watching, he thought.

Emily looked up when Lannie spoke and took a deep breath, just letting the two of them talk. She nibbled on her lower lip and looked away, feeling somewhat excluded. She set her bags down on the ground, folded her arms across her chest and looked down the street.

Kira glanced over at Terri with a slightly horrified and disgusted look on her face. Her mind was muttering the words, "Idiot. They're married." However, after further thought, the way that appeared to be more fun was going along with the comment, "I think you just might be onto something." Kira teased, nudging Ben in the side, "So, when are you actually going to get the nerve to ask her out? Huh?"

Ben sent a glare in Kira's direction, and ignored her comment. Then he turned back to his cousin.
"That would be for me to know, you to figure it out. Think of it as a test to your solving skills," he said to Terri with a half smile...

Lannie surpressed a sigh at Emily's dejected expression. She hadn't been attempting to alieniate her, but she wasn't going to let awkwardness dictate the situation until the next car arrived.

Riley chuckled and gave a slight nod of his head in response to Lannie, "yes, most of the time they are. Ben doesn't go after the little cases. The bigger, the better." he absentmindedly watched as a young woman and a little girl briskly walked by and got into a waiting car. He didn't even notice Emily.
