Noticing that her breathing was coming shallow, Darius was about ready to force Calista to work faster. He wouldn't have cared if this woman was bleeding to death herself. All he wanted was help for Rosalina. "She's fading! Hurry!!!" he shouted at the injured woman.
"I'm trying..." Calista replied as she continued to tear the rose petals and make it into the pulp required to soak in the water that Gareth just recently set a fire under, the pain in her wrist only growing worse as she pushed herself harder.
"Work faster!" Darius demanded and Calista could feel tears sting her eyes, the pressure of the situation starting to get to her. Darius was badgering her, she was worried sick over the woman that had helped her and her body was screaming at her in pain with every little move she made.
"Darius, let her be," Gareth warned, not liking the emotional stress the mythical creature was putting Calista under. "She is doing her best. So be silent before I silence you," Gareth remarked, already tempted to cast a silence spell on the man. When the pulp was finished, Calista took it in her hand and walking painfully over to the pot, placed it in the boiling water and began to mix it with a ladle. When that was finished, she moved back over to the table and grabbed the berries and squeezed their juice into the brew. "Gareth, I need you to increase the strength of these herbs," Calista whispered weakly, the strain of the last few minutes evident on her face. Nodding, Gareth chanted another spell that would intensify the potency of the herbal brew twentyfold. Mixing everything together again, Calista limped over and grabbed a cup before scooping some of the drink in it. "Here," she remarked softly to Darius and handed him the vessel. "See if you can get her to drink," she whispered, exhaustion evident in her voice.
"My love, I need you to try and drink this," Darius whispered as he took the cup from Calista and held the vessel to Rosalina's lips.

Rosalina was far from concious. Her body had become limp, But the sensation of the cup to her lips made them open a tiny bit, enough for the fluid to start running down her throat, but more of it spilt out then went into her mouth. And even then she had a hard time swallowing, choking a bit.

"I know this is hard, but keep trying, my love" Darius whispered to her, silently praying that this would work and they were not too late. If Rosalina died, he did not know what would become of him.

Walking over to Calista, Gareth gently scooped the exhausted woman in his arms. "You need to rest," Gareth whispered to her before planting a light kiss on her forehead.
"No," Calista whispered as she rested her head against his shoulder. "I need to know Rosalina will be well. If this drink doesn't work I can try and see if I can heal her with a touch."
"You will do no such thing. You barely had the strength to stand, such a move will cost your life," Gareth whispered to her.
Walking over to a chair with Calista still in his arms, Gareth sat down and gently rubbed her arms. "What happened?" he whispered to her.
"Bella threw me. Something spooked her in the meadow..." she replied, her voice trailing off as she felt her eyes grow heavy.
Grimacing, Gareth hated the fact that he let her go out to gather the herbs alone but they had no choice. If he had gone with her, Rosalina would have been dead by the time they returned. "Just sleep, love. You need it," Gareth whispered soothingly as he lightly rubbed her shoulder.
"No...not until I know Rosalina is okay..." she whispered, her lashes fluttering as she tried to fight against the darkness that wanted to take her.

Feeling a small measure of hope as Rosalina swallowed, Darius just prayed that this elixir would work. "That's it, Ro," Darius whispered to her, wanting to encourage her. "You are going to be fine," he whispered.

"Rose, get some sleep. You need it, love. I will make sure that Rosalina recovers," Gareth whispered.
"Promise?" Calista asked Gareth softly.
"I swear on my life I will help her in any means possible if need be. You just relax," he added as he pressed a light kiss to the top of her head.
Nodding at his words, Calista allowed her eyes to fall close and quickly sank into a light sleep, her worry for Rosalina not allowing her to truly get some rest.

As Rosalina drank, the cramping stoped, so did the trembling, and the bleeding.

Noticing that the bleeding and trembling had stopped, Darius breathed a soft sigh of relief. He knew that this was a sign that Rosalina was at least showing some improvement. "You will recover and then we will have the rest of our lives to look forward together," he remarked softly to her.

Watching the scene, Gareth was relieved that Rosalina was starting to show some signs of recovery. Her color was at least starting to return and the bleeding had stopped. Holding Calista close, he remained silent and let the woman rest, planning on carrying his lady back to her chambers to rest while he tended to her wounds after he was certain that Rosalina would be all right.

Rosalina drank until the cup was empty. Her breathing was still a bit ragged and shallow, but it had improved.

Once the cup was empty, Darius set in on the side and just held Rosalina close, pleased that her breathing had improved.

Watching the events, Gareth made no comment. He suspected that Rosalina would be all right and wanted to leave to tend to Calista's injuries. However, he knew that the woman would be furious if he left now and would never trust him again to watch over another for her while she took a much needed rest if a similar situation arose again that he decided to remain where he was for a little while more.

Over time, Rosalina's breathing became more normal, as did her coloring.

Seeing Rosalina's breathing return to normal and her color return, Darius could only breathe a soft sigh of relief, certain now that his love would live.
Noticing Rosalina improve, Gareth decided to leave the couple alone and gently rose from the chair with Calista resting peacefully in his arms.
"Thank you," Darius told Gareth finally. "And I am sorry for my harsh words."
"I am not the one you should thank nor am I the one you need to apologize to," the mage remarked simply, still not liking the mythical creature all that much. He could understand his love and concern for Rosalina, but it enraged him to watch Darius badger Calista and infuriated him beyond measure that he blamed her for the mess, as if she were responsible for the sins of the world.

Rosalina slowly opened her eyes. They still had a faint glazed look. "Darius?" she murmered.

"I'm here, love," Darius whispered to Rosalina as she opened her eyes. Giving her a soft smile, he leaned over and gently kissed her forehead. "I was so worried about you," he whispered, unshed tears shining in his eyes.

Smiling softly as Rosalina awoke, Gareth turned, satisfied that she would recover. Feeling the movement, Calista stirred softly in his arms. "Gareth," she murmured without opening her eyes. "How's-"
"She will be fine, love" Gareth whispered. "She will be okay. Where have you been hurt?" he asked her.
"Left wrist and ankle. Ribs as well..." she muttered too out of it to realize that Gareth wanted to tend to her wounds while she slept. Had she been more alert she would have refused to let him treat her, preferring instead to have the supplies saved for someone else in need. Wincing slightly at her soft murmurings, Gareth gently kissed her forehead as she fell asleep again. "Just rest love. I will take care of you," he added as he walked from the room, trying to keep his gait as gentle as possible as to not disturb her.

Rosalina nodded slowly. "Is it gone?" She asked. "Is the baby gone?" Her voice held a pleading hope. Did she succeed? Could she start over?

"I don't know, Ro" Darius replied softly to Rosalina as he shook his head sadly. "We will probably need to find Gareth to ask him. Unfortunately I can smell the scent of death and blood but feeling a growing life is beyond my abilities," he remarked with a sigh. "Love, do you realize what just happened, you could have died in the process," he whispered after a moment, hurt that she had tried to kill herself once again.

Arriving at Calista's room, he gently laid the woman upon the bed before going to gather some herbs that he had stored. Crushing them into a paste, he applied them to her Calista's wrist and ankle to hopefully bring down the swelling that he noticed starting to occur. Once finished, he gently bandaged the wounds tightly with some animal hide turned into cloth. Smiling sadly as he gazed upon her sleeping form, he kissed her lips lightly, wishing he could take the pain away from her.

"I was trying to get rid of the thing. I-I over heard them talking about herbs, and they mentioned the necture can cause miscarriges. I had to Dary. I had to. I don't want it. If I were to have a mans baby I would rather have it be from a man I love. You." She looked at him, her determination keeping her strong for only the time being. "Please, I need to know if I succedded."
