Arielle raised her eyebrows slightly. Very interesting. Well, at least she had a small clue about with what she was dealing.

The man gasped, terror filling his eyes as he realized what was happening. However, as the former mercenary knew, he was indeed a professional. "I am the shadow," he spat back at the Kiani. "I don't exist. You cannot break me."

Aivon sighed. He was a bodyguard, not an interrogator. Years of training to fight did not necessarily steel a person against seeing someone's terror at something they couldn't fight back against--in this case, the fire, and the ice that was now coating his scalp.

The bodyguard could feel the assassin shaking as he held him upright via the man's bound arms. It wasn't a comfortable position for the man, but maybe a little bit more pain would bring home just how serious his predicament was. Though it was likely that he knew quite well.

"You'll leave tonight." Sielio said, "You'll go as a traveler, but you will need to be under the cover of night if you are to do this properly..."
A guard walked up suddenly and murmmered something in the king's ear. Sielio nodded tersely. The guard grunted and backed off. Everya looked at him quizically.
"Please excuse me Everya- there is a matter I need to attend to. Please meet with my advisors and they will tell you everything that you will need."
"Ok." Everya said and went to talk to the king's advisors.

The guard accompanied Sielio as he left the building, "An assasin? Are you positive?"
"That's what I'm told. One of the Kiani caught him, killed another too."
Sielio groaned and followed the guard to where the prisioner was being held.

Arielle let innocent curiousity wander across her face. "I never tried." She bent down to whisper in the assassin's ear. "Let's just take it as read that you're a very nice, brave, loyal hired killer, and get on with it. We won't tell on you."

The guard nodded and pushed open the door.

Aivon turned as the door opened, drawing his sword and placing himself between whoever was entering and the Kiani. A guard entered the room, apparently unperturbed at the not-so-warm greeting he recieved. He stopped well out of the reach of Aivon's sword, though.

"King Sielio requests that the Ignae Kiani inform him of the events which have just here transpired," the guard intoned in a booming voice. Aivon's gaze sharpened.

"How did the king find out about it, when it just happened so recently?" he asked quickly, his suspicion rising. He hadn't seen any guards nearby that might have told the king, so it must have been someone else that informed him. Someone who knew about it.

Suakii, interested, made sure her prisoner's wrists were securely frozen to the wall, then moved toward the guard.

"Oh? Well then, I will inform him on what is going on, if he shows his presence so that I may be able to tell him personally."

Arielle's eyes narrowed as she looked at the guard, who stood facing down Aivon. "That," she agreed, "is a very good question. How did the king find out?"

"Be careful," she added to Suakii. "Something isn't right about this - in fact, I think I might just tag along." She fell in behind her ward, her dirk still in her fist.
