[Raven do you mind if I butt in?]

Name: Yrudit Vs'axeral
Age: not quite halfway through his life
Race: lizardman
Gender: male
Appearance: http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i273/ ... Yrudit.jpg
^without the spikes, armor and weapons
Attire: azure robes hemmed and emblazened with gold; tattoo of a hawk's wing on either side of his head
Personality: no idea
Weapons: jeweled rapier
History: He was born under the order of lizard shamans as a child, in the Wastelands of Duzakha. Early on he forsook their barbarian ways and was banished from his clan. He has been wandering the world alone, worshiping the light gods (assuming there are light gods), ever since.
Exalted or Gifted(one or the other. If neither, leave blank): Gifted
Abilities(for Gifted, two maximum. Exalted, there is no limit): healing, telepathy

----------

He didn't belong here.

Not in this forest they called Irvanrhi, this woodland of whispering trees and twittering songbirds. And the fact that each elven sentry passing by never missed the opportunity to give him a second glance didn't help the situation.

Waiting on the guarded road outside the outpost, Yrudit Vs'axeral shifted uneasily, his azure and gold robes rustling with his every movement. The elven warriors assigned to "escort" him to Princess Silvryn offered him the familiar glare - the one that blatantly stated they were tolerating him and his exotic appearance for diplomacy only.

Apparently, the elves trusted him as much as he trusted them.

----------

One of the guards slipped inside the outpost. He glanced at the myriad accumulation of people before bowing to Silvryn. "My lady. An ambassador from the Order of the Gifted has asked for your audience."

((Posting once more - then I'm stopping, I promise :D))

Silvryn was aware of Eryn's request - but just then one of her guards delivered his message. "Inform him that when I am finished here I shall see him," was her dismissive reply. She was beginning to be rather irritated at the interruptions. Glancing at Tal and then in Penfire's direction, the Princess stood. "You may," she conceded in response to Landen's query. "If we're finished - those of you who wish to accompany the Gifted, please do so. I shall speak to you specifically in the near future. Penfire, if you would please speak to Eryn, who I believe wishes for more information. Tal, when I am finished with this ambassador, I wish to see you privately." And she swept out, leaving relative order in her wake.

-----------

"The Princess to receive you, Ambassador," said that same guard, a note of derision in his voice that spoke of his skepticism. It was not lost on Silvryn, who on exiting the small outpost took in Yrudit with one violet-eyed glance. "I regret I cannot receive you inside," she delivered smoothly. "My chambers at the palace are much more extensive. You come from the Order, do you not?"

As a monarch her manner was polite and businesslike, but quite impersonal and even a touch remote.

(wait are you talking to eryn I'm confused if so here's my reply)

"Yes,i do come from the order,I heard your offer about seeing the gifted and was wondering if I could tell you a secret of my past in complete private and you will listen to my story and not judge until i am done and if you agree you willnot let the questoner read my mind you will be the first one I"ve ever explained this to so don't tell anyone that is why I ran out I couldn't let him read my mind or I would have immediately been exuacuted for something I did in my past.

As her cool gaze swept over him, Yrudit dipped into a respectful bow. He rasped in his dry, hissing voice, "Indeed I do, my lady. My superiors divined the presence of those who should belong to our Order under your custody. They asked me to convey that they and you as well are welcome in our city, and that they shall be expecting the arrival." He paused for her to assimilate her words, then continued blandly, "With all due respect, my lady, they request that you leave with all haste. The sooner you reach the Order, the better, for there are matters that need clarifying."

"I was aware," replied Silvryn delicately. "We intend to depart posthaste. Matters indeed need clarifying. Will you be accompanying us?"

She did not seem repulsed by him, but her demeanor was the same lofty, cool exterior that she used with almsot everyone - an exterior she'd been perfecting for years.

I just read up, and I want to thank everyone who decided to not post until I could get on. Thank you all very much.

----

Tal silently watched the two former assassins, giving them a friendly but guarded smile when they returned the stare.

"For one hundred years you worked for the Guild, yes?" he asked them. Since Rylin had already said so, it was obviously not a question they needed to answer. "Would you be willing to give information on the methods used? It would be very beneficial to many who have--directly or indirectly--experienecd misfortune at their hands."

He had a feeling that the pair would choose to not disclose the information, but that would be understandable. Most people felt at least some loyalty to those whom they had worked with and lived around for years. Giving information that could compromise them would be crossing the final line, becoming a "traitor" in the full sense of the word. Most people cringed from those thoughts, himself included.

There was a definite delay in a response from the two, and they seemed to be communicating with mere glances, to one degree or another.

"Perhaps at a future date, and at a..safer location." was the final, very guarded response from Rylin. As they were traitors in almost every other sense of the word, it certainly wouldn't put them in any more danger than that which were already in.

Tal nodded. He had not really expected anything more. "Very well," he said, wondering just what they considered a 'safer' place. Surely they didn't think that the Order's island would be safer for them--the Order simply trained a person to use their abilities to the best of their capabilities. They did not impose morals on people, at least not as a group, though individuals might.

"I had not intended to return to the Order, but now, I believe I shall--it may prove very interesting."

Penfire left the room, and found Eryn quickly due to his talipathic magic.
"I heard you are in need of some information, Eryn... in I'm correct. What information do you need? I know you requested to speak with Silvryn, but she is busy."

~~~~~~
Darnel watched the princess and the co-comander leave and listened intently. When no one spoke out of the people in the room, he spoke.
"I'll go to the Order, I guess... But will I have to get my brain checked?"
Tal couldn't help it. He snickered. "No, they will not be checking your brain. That is a physical thing, and checking it implies examining it for medical problems. They will instead be searching your mind. It is there that you harbor your secrets, and whatever might damage the Elves of Irvanrhi."
He didn't tell them that when they got to the Order's island, they would have their minds searched again, because none who sought to do harm to the Order itself were even allowed to live. So it had been, at least, when he had completed his training years ago.
Darnel shrugged.
"Well... I have a few things I wouldn't mind not being found out, but they're not as bad as being an assasin, as I take those two are from their story." He pointed to Raina and Rylin...
((I'm a bit confused... When are we leaving, and who all is going?))
Landen glared at Darnel. Couldn't anyone understand that past is past?! And that they deserve a chance at life and a clear record? He shook his head and sighed. He desparetly wished he could get a few questions answered by either Raina or Rylin, but not wanting to speak aloud, he attempted to strike up a conversation mentally,
"Raina? Rylin?" he asked this without making a single facial expression outwardly. This was also directed at both the brother and sister, so that he might get his answers more thoroughly. "May I ask you some questions? I appologise for the.... odd.. communication, but some of this may be a bit too touchy for all ears to hear..."
(As far as I can figure, all of the ones in the group now are going..*shrug*)
Both siblings, who had been giving Darnel sharp looks, neither pleased that no one would let the subject just die out, jumped at the mental contact, having neither been expecting it.
By all means.. was Rylin's initial response, as he proceeded to examine the floor with a neutral expression, so as it appeared that nothing out of the ordinary was taking place.
At least you have the prudence to not speak out loud about things which would better be discussed in private. Raina added, as she could hear every thing Rylin was 'saying'. Ask away.
Landen smiled inwardly,
"First of all, I will say that I hold nothing against either of you, as I was in a similar situation for many years of my youth... But anyway, I hate to press this matter again, but do you remember anything on that hunter I told you about? It would be helpful..."
