Looking to Elizabeth, he said, "Stay near the entrance to the cave with James, just in case matters turn ugly."
He then quickened his pace, creeping beside Portia, with his eyes completely focused on the burning torch.

Portia held onto the hilt of her sword tightly as she, Jack and Will drew nearer to the burning torch. She kept her eyes fixated on the glow and moved somewhat slowly, so nothing would happen that she wouldn't know about.

Jack glanced at the party, and rolled his eyes, annoyed. "Bug.ger this mates. . .we're not sea turtles." He commented rudely at their cautious speed to investigate the torch.
Speeding up his steps, Jack literally waltzed down towards the torch and the others were so suprised at his casuality, that Jack might as well just whistle a song.

"Wait, Jack! Don't!" Will whispered hoarsely as he lunged forward trying to reach for Jack's sleeve. Unfortunately, his aim missed and he nearly toppled over.
He had no other choice, but to follow Jack, so he quickened his pace and caught up with him, "Jack, stop! We don't know if it's a trap!"

Portia groaned to Jack and then quickened her pace, as well. She walked directly beside Jack and sighed deeply. She needed to think of a plan, just in case something were to happen to them.

Jack snapped his tongue up against the top of his mouth as he trodded just a bit more foward.
He could see the torch now, and it was only bolted to the inside of the stone wall. No enemies were near by, and nothing looked awkward.
"Ye see, no worries gents. . ."

Will bravely stepped ahead the crew, including Jack, and came within inches of the torch. Examining the object itself, his eyes scanned every inch of it, until he was sure there was nothing suspicious about it. "It doesn't look dangerous, but whoever lit the torch could be dangerous."
Taking in a deep breath, Will reached out and grabbed a hold of the torch....hoping nothing aweful would happen....

As Will took the torch in his hand, the cave rumbled unexpectantly. Rocks and stones began to fall from the ceiling and then there was such a large crash and rumble, that is made all fall to the ground unwillingly.
Two huge boulders and fallen in front of the cave, blocking off the entrance.....and their exit...
Soon it all stopped and Will rushed to Elizabeth and James, "Are you all right? Is James all right?"
