They went to the arcade near the beach, and with all the tickets conbined after the various games the group had played, there was enough to get two stuffed animals, plus a few other small prizes.

They stopped at the ice cream store on their way back home, and all ordered a big cone with big scoops of ice cream. After finishing they went home.

Austin looked up at Kali. "Fine. Fifty bucks," he said.
"You sure about that, Austin?" Mia asked.
"Shut up," Austin said.
He took a shot at the 8 ball and the cue ball missed it completely. He looked up and saw Kali was smiling.

"I tried to tell you Austin." Kali said, shooting the 8 ball into the hole and winning the game. Kali took a swig of her beer before holding out her hand to Austin.

"You totally asked for it, Austin," Mia said after taking a sip of the beer she had in her bottle.
Austin reached into his back pocket, pulling out his wallet, taking out fifty dollars and placing it in Kali's hand.

Austin scowled and then turned away. "Well, that was...fun," he said and picked up his beer and gulped some down. After he gave a loud sigh and looked at Mia. "What are you looking at?"
"Just a sore loser, that's all," Mia said jokingly.

Mia watched her leave the bar and then turned to Austin. "What do you think of her? You know, after losing that game--and your money," she joked.
"I actually like her," Austin said. "She's better at me than pool, but..."
"Wait a second. How do you like her?" Mia asked him.
Austin was silent. He lifted the beer bottle up to his lips and took a sip.
"Austin, she's...not your type," Mia said after awhile.
"Why not?" he asked. "Do you know her that well?"
"Not that well, but she's kind of in a...complicated relationship with someone," Mia said, meaning Sark, but not wanting to talk about it.
"Oh..." Austin sounded disappointed and Mia felt bad.
