Edwin finally sighed and began making his way trough the hallways with his staff heavily hitting the floor, he heard some noises from the hallway and perhaps something moving, but he wasn`t sure. He arrived at the door of a chamber and peeked inside seeing Ghyreian there or was it her? Was he in a dream or not? Edwin leaned on the wall and looked back into the room as he saw something green in the shadows, he heard the sound of scales against the floor.

"What to do?..."

Edwin muttered to himself, was he in a dream or reality and was this his dream or were they both in the same dream?

A dragon was hidden in the shadows. She was nearly certain of it now. But her elvensight detected nothing. Could it be that the dragon had concealed itself in illusion? She heard another noise behind her. It was Edwin. She fiercely gestured for him to be silent.

Holding the globe of light in her palm, she made her way around the unconscious Lorac and peered into the shadows.

The dragon was there, waiting for her.

Edwin swallowed hard as he finally stepped into the doorway to spectate the room, Ghyreian was careful and Edwn knew it was for a reason because the dragon was there. Watching and waiting for them, why was it waiting for them to do something? Did it just toy with them or was there something else behind this all? Edwin took few steps forwards and began looking trough the room with his staff towards the walls in his right and only useable hand.

It was hidden in the shadows, its green eyes glittering. Ghyreian was just about to throw a spell when she stopped. Her elven sight had not detected it, and though she was used to dragonfear she should at least have felt its presence.

Cyan Bloodbane watched in grim amusement as the dark elf and her companions stood confronting his illusion. Imbeciles. Setting his haunches, he sprung.

The floor shook as something massive and stinking of chlorine gas landed behind her. A blast of venomous vapor shot in her direction. It was only by sheer instinct did she manage to save herself by throwing up a protective barrier. She spun around.

The dragon was behind her.

Edwin was luckily far enough from Ghyreian that he survived with stumbling back, he thought he saw the dragon and began casting a spell to slow it down as he dropped his staff down. Soon Edwin shot a swarm of smaller fireballs that grew to be somewhat effective, but were only enough to make the dragon irritated and feel a small sting of pain in it`s chest.

"FOOLS!" the green roared as it sent a display of fireballs each with a three foot radius exploding in Edwin's direction. "I am Cyan Bloodbane, conquerer of Silvanesti!" It blasted another hurricane of chlorine at Ghyreian. "You shall not escape me!"

Ghyreian watched as Edwin was engulfed in an inferno of flames. She could not see him through the blaze, but as she threw herself down on the ground she shrieked, "GET THE DRAGONORB!"

Edwin was threw down by the fireballs and his robe caught fire, he tried to put it down, but the dragon was already attacking again and Edwin knew that he had to act. He took some spell components and was able to raise some sort of protective shield as the inferno closed around him. The magical shield began to crack quickly and Edwin cursed, the fire was luckily ending and he had survived, but it would be a matter of time after Cyan would attack again. Edwin looked towards Ghyreian hesitantly who yelled something and the only word he could hear was Dragonorb. Edwin began running towards it as Cyan prepared to attack again.

The Dragonorb lay only feet away from Edwin, clutched in Lorac's death-clasp. The Red Robe made a desperate sprint for the artifact.

Cyan Bloodbane, his back to Edwin, began closing in on the dark elf. Ghyreian had to distract him for enough time to let Edwin get the Dragonorb. She released a set of fiery bolts aimed at the dragon's eyes. The massive green easily, almost lazily, reduced them to nothingness. He opened his jaws and let his dragonfear work to its best advantage. Ghyreian stood rooted to the spot in petrified terror as she saw her doom poised above her. Spells of defense slipped from her grasp as the glowing eyes of Cyan Bloodbane bore into hers.

"Die slowly, my mageling," he hissed.

The pain was excruciating. Ghyreian fell to the floor, writhing in agony. Through her pain-hazed vision she could only watch in helpless submission as one jeweled claw began digging into the soft flesh of her stomach.

Edwin finally reached the dragonorb and grabbed it, he tried it`s surface with his fingers in illusion, but snapped out of it soon as he heard Cyan saying something and turned at them. Edwin swallowed hard at the sight and he knew that it was no dream, he muttered something to himself and concentrated to the orb knowing that it would be their ony chance of survival. He could feel something in there and said tried to say some words, but nothing happened and he concentrated more.

Then he said few words that didn`t think he knew and the orb reacted somewhat, Cyan turned at the red mage with furious eyes. Edwin had taken Cyan`s magical powers away. Cyan left Ghyreian alone and with a furious leap it came towards Edwin. Edwin was able to dodge somewhat, but he was off balance and the dragonorb rolled along the floor. Cyan noticed this too and grabbed it, these two began to seem quite dangerous and they might stand a chance now.

Cyan wasn`t willing to risk it all tough he was on the upper hand.

Soon Cyan exited the tower and flew away with the dragonorb within it`s claws as Edwin could swear that he had broken few bones. He looked towards Ghyreian.

"Lunitari help me...."

Edwin cursed.

As he was borne away by the night, Cyan's last incoherent scream of rage echoed along the walls of the Tower of the Stars.

And then the dragon was gone.

Ghyreian heard something explode, followed by the roar of rapidly moving air. She opened her eyes long enough to see a solid barrier of venomous gas roll towards her - Cyan's last means of destroying his adversaries before he had taken flight. She struggled to get up and her mind was instantly ripped by a searing pain that left her gasping. Desperation lended her strength as she dragged herself up and began crawling for the door at the end of the chamber. The first wafts of the chlorine gas reached her. She caught a sniff of it and gagged. Holding her breath the rest of the way, she managed to reach the corridor outside and to collapse onto the floor.

"Close the door!" she gasped at Edwin.

Edwin rushed after Ghyreian and closed to door like she commanded, he leaned on the door and slowly slided down to sit against the door coughing. Edwin looked Ghyreian.

"It`s very bad isn`t it?"

Edwin asked refering to the wound.

"Does it look bad to you?" Ghyreian demanded through clenched teeth. Blood was slowly staining her black robes where Cyan's talon had cut into her flesh. But the worst of it was the rest of her body, which was still reeling after the dragon's torturous attack on it.

She had underestimated the power of the dream and the power of the Dragonorb. And now she may very well pay....

She closed her eyes and sank into the welcoming blackness.

Edwin quickly jumped to Ghyreian and took her by the shoulders.

"Darn! Your not dying until we get that bloody orb!"

Edwin stumbled up and began pulling Ghyreian after him since the exhaustion was too great to carry her, he left her in the floor and looked trough few rooms in the tower fnally finding a bed where he dragged her on. He lighted up a fire and hoped that he could treat her wound enough to keep her alive, the knowledge of his own skills didn`t make it any better all tough he had helped her earlier, but this was another rate wound.

If she would die, he would swear to hunt that dragon down and make it`s scaly butt pay.

She was jolted out of her unconsciousness by the sound of cursing and the sensation of being dragged onto something soft. In the dim light she distinguished a hazy red outline standing beside the bed.

"... Edwin?" she managed to murmur, wondering why Cyan Bloodbane had not killed her yet and what Edwin was doing here. He had been killed by the flames...

Edwin was slightly frightened by the sudden question.

"Good to know that your alive at least by anything else than your breath Ghy... your messed up, but I´ve tried to treat your wound the best I can.. also I am worried since I might have heard sounds from the tower... perhaps elves..."
