Muria went and sat along her Gryffindor students, awaiting for the Sorting to begin. 'This should be interesting.' She thought.

"Apt point." Zach conceded with a slight smile. Silence then fell between the two..at least until the carriage had arrived up at the school itself. Slipping out, he waited for Selena before heading up to the school - and the Great Hall from there, then the Slytherin table- a rare gesture for him indeed.

After a rather uneventful - and silent - carriage ride up to the school, Madison was the first out of the carriage, followed closely by her brother. Aaron and Jacob were not long to follow, and the group of four didn't seperate until in the Great Hall, where the Potters headed to the Gryffindor table, Aaron to the Hufflepuff table, and Jacob to the Ravenclaw table.

Layien and Shade entered the Great Hall, heading over to the Gryffindor Table. Layien sat beside Shade as they sat across from Kat and Emmeline. They barely had any room at the table. To Shade's right there was a 5th year lad who's name escaped him, and to Layien's left there was a 2nd year girl from who she remembered seeing at the Sorting Ceremony last year. They both sighed, glad to be back.

Selena gave Zach a genuine smile, people rarely spent time with her and waited. 'Perhaps.' She thought. 'This could lead to more.' Once they were at their correct table she sat with Zach.

Shade glanced up and saw Selena sit down. He glared and looked back down, the blood now dried on his forehead for he had not cleaned it up yet or had a chance too.

Emmeline saw the look on Shade's face and turned to look at the source. She saw Selena and grimaced.
"Don't let her get to you. She's..." Emmeline said, several words echoed in her head but she chose not to repeat them for the sake of the younger students around her.

"It's an old family hatred, Emmeline." Shade said sourly. "Blood has been spent over the years and not only my familes blood, but my own." Shade glanced up at his forehead and sighed. "I will not bother you with my problems. I will enjoy inally being able to come home here. I will be more relaxed and happy once I visit the forest..." Shade knew that Emmeline knew about his ability to speak with and calm down all the wild beasts, from snakes to dragons. The forest was like a grand home to him.

"Welcome to another year at Hogwarts!"

The room then grew totally and utterly quiet as the Headmaster began to speak. All the other professers, including Lenord Griffen, the Care of Magical Creatures Professor, gaze heavy glares as they scanned the crowd for any students who dared whisper a single word while the Headmaster spoke.
