Darius drank the whiskey and grinned with his eyes closed, he let a hissing sound between his teeth and gazed at his trembling hand as she asked about his condition. As an answer Darius turned his hand into the green incorporeal form he preferred more than the fleshy version and pressed it trough the bar table as an example of what he was capable of. Then he again stopped to gaze at his hand as he streched his fingers and snapped them nervously.

"Ah... hah.."

He began in a clumsy manner, but chuckled afterwards.

"I... well... I can turn myself into a incorporeal being and by doing so my body takes on a weightless form, it`s a feeling of liberation from the flesh that our minds and souls are bound to. Yet when I return, I feel uncomfortable in my own body so to speak and yearn to be free of it again... makes me want to crawl out of my own skin, it is like an ich and an ache, but I have gotten used to it.

A side effect worth paying I guess..."

He said with a careless tone as, if what he was experiencing was normal. Yet it was obvious that Darius would give answers and demand some in return.

"What do you know of HYENA? Not much I presume? Yet I guess you ran into them at the station? Mind elaborating on how you got there?"

Catrin smirked slightly, Yumeko reminded her of herself. She glanced around the room, grand and very finely furnished. She fancied she could easily be lost in a few of those books, rather like Yumeko had seemed to be when they entered.

She sat on the arm of the nearest sofa, her legs tired from the day's events so far. It had definitely been taxing, but hopefully it would turn out rewarding.

She sat down unpeterbed by his directness. "To cut a long story short my powers showed themselves when i was fourteen, i killed a fellow orphan; in retrospect she deserved it. Fled Irland, been danceing the streets for three years. Today? A french girl, Jackie joined me danceing, she questioned me a bit to much and i left, then i decided that i wasn't going to fight myself any longer. Anyway, she turns out to be a mutant as well and she dosn't want me to hurt them; so we fight, my power runs out, she almost kills me, her power runs out; i frame her." she paused for breath and poured herself a glass "So who're HYENA?"

"A group of mutants who don`t want anything nasty to happen between humans and their fellow mutants I guess. It`s a school, an institution for mutants, if you will, a sanctuary perhaps yet they are all cowards. They will not kill unless they are forced to and they won`t allow others to act as we want to, fools.... Yet anyway I`ve been keeping an eye on them trying to see, if anyone would be willing to leave perhaps yet with little success so I must turn to those outside the institution..."

He said as he gazed trough the glass at Marianne, but placed the glass on the table and poured another drink, but didn`t touch it and just left it there as he continued to speak.

"Today I met an interesting girl, her name was Estelle and she was about to enter the institute and she probably now has already. I met her, told her how I saw things and killed a woman. She used her... `light powers` and killed another human, no doubt she will be looked for as well and do you realize what happens when they find her at the institute?

They realize that they are all mutants and might prove a threat, a dangerous concentration of individuals... and by them I am referring to the police and other authorities..."

He explained the course of events that had filled his day earlier.

Takeshi noticed Catrin making herself feel at home and turned to Estelle, "You'll be ok, won't you? You can sort everything out tomorrow if you desire to - I'll inform the staff and you can just ask them to help you. Plus I'm sure one of the people you met at the park will show you around as well."

Without waiting for an answer from either of them, Takeshi stepped out of the room and traced Yumeko's footsteps - though stopping midway to inform one of the wandering staff of Catrin and Estelle.


Raye turned to the others to speak but paused... Tai was gone. He shook Mai and pointed at the empty space beside her in disbelief.

"I'd look for him but we need to carry on - it's starting to get dark now," Raye told her as he noted the gradually brooding sky. He left the park with Mai and made his way through the turning street corners, "I tracked another mutant as well...", he mentioned as he tapped on a blip from his handheld device.
"But unfortunately... I don't think this one will come with us. He's a hazard - he caused a lot of grief towards his family, we lost trace of him for a while but using old data he seems to be around this area," Raye carried on as he strode towards a deserted alleyway, "His name is Darius Wellington."

"There's Takeshi." Brody said, motioning for Asha to follow him. He winced as several people entered the room, their thoughts loud in his head. "Raye?" Brody hurried after him.

"Thats good for us then. Are there any others like us, or are all mutants part of this Institute, sounds like they have an army" she said worridly, not fancying her chances aginst them and slightly worried she might be on the wrong side in the long run, she quickly drowned her glass and set it down empty. "I'm not strong you know, my powers control me more than i can control them, i'd never used them to that extent before." she added volentiering the information.

Darius hmhed quietly and gazed at the wall before nodding to a door on the side of the room.

"Then you shall learn, over there is an empty storage room where you might use your powers without ruining the bar and as for others... no the HYENA do not have an army, there are others like us out there just waiting to be discovered or pushed to the edge...

I am working on it..."

He said before reaching under the bar table and pulling out a lap top, placing it open on the table.

"Modern technology, it is wonderful how easily you can access information trough the world wide web these days.... not that I make my contacts trough it, but... hacking to databases all over town is another thing...."

He said with a jovial smirk.

Mai looked at Raye, "Is he safe? I mean, if he's caused a lot of grief towards his family, doesn't that mean he could for us as well?" She wondered also where Tai had gone and why he had just vanished. She never heard him go, and presumed Raye hadn't either.

"Pushed to the edge...?" she didn't wait for an answer but went through into the next room. There was nothing in there but a few carboard boxs filled with junk. She motioned to them to move to the other side of the room and summoned one back to her. She opened the lid and one by one levitated them into the air. Gradulaly she began to improvise in her danceing, laughing slightly as she felt the power run through her, the objects wizzing round the room in a kalidascope of interweaveing pattens.

Raye halted in his footsteps and turned to Mai, "I detected another person in there with him, they aren't in our records so perhaps they're not a mutant. Might be another victim or just a friend... but we need to check. And if we are placed in a dangerous position - I'm sure you can save yourself."
Raye looked straight into Mai's eyes, "If it all goes wrong... leave me. I can defend for myself."

He then carried on with his route, his device leading him to Darius and the other anomaly, "When we go in - we must not hint that we are mutants. Just say we are lost...", as soon as he had finished the clouds' melancholy seemed to take a grasp and rain started to pour, leaving a drenched Raye pleased with his option of excuses, "Or just say it's raining and we are in need of shelter. They seem to be in an abandoned building anyway and we can just state that we thought no-one else was here."

Raye came to the end of the alleyway to face a backdoor, "They're in here," he whispered to Mai, stealthily slipping the device in his bag and pressed softly against the door - narrowly opening it and then spoke in a casual voice - aiming to sound like an ignorant civillian. "It's open."

Darius gazed quietly after Marianne as she entered the room before starting to hack into a network where he might find about possible mutants whereabouts. Darius also activated a camera that guarded the entrance of the bar room, it was sunk inside the brick wall and decoys so that it wouldn`t be easy to spot. It was worth being careful these days when you were wanted for a kill. Darius stopped for a while as there was slight laughter in the other room and hmhed, clearly satisfied that she had gone to work already, getting to control her powers would be the first crucial step.

Control, that was what it all was about. Darius thought as he stretched his fingers and snapped them. He once more gazed towards the room where Marianne was training and approached the door. He walked to the doorway and leaned on it, watching quietly as the boxes flew around in certain patterns.

"You seem to be more in control than you give yourself credit"

Darius complimented as he stepped into the room.
