"Lanie do you have homework? If you do you need to be home early enough to do that and be in bed before midnight. On weekends I would prefer you keep it to a reasonable one oclock... Please?" Shylan said as he came back into the dieing room with a glass of water and seated himself. "Fair enough?" He asked looking at the two young people in front of him.

"David if it's about whatever had made you so unreasonably overprotective of me ... I don't wnat to hear it... just relax it's not like I'm made of glass." She opened the car door and picked up her bag. "Thanks for the ride."

" corison please wait..." he ran and grabed her arm before she could get 5 feet away from the car. he pulled her close and kissed her. " thats what i wanted to tell you.." he said knowing it probably wouldnt make things better. he had no clue how she felt about him.

Lanie thought. " i don't have any homework." she said. really not knowing if she did or not.
Josh smiled. " i'll have her home by 12. " he said.

Corison struggled at first. When he pulled away she looked at him as if she had never seen him before. "David ..." She said softly, then she seemed to come back to reality. "I'd better go inside." She turned back toward the house.

David watched her go inside. he reluctently got in his car and drove away. he went to a near by park and sat there for a while thinking.

Josh nodded. " yes sir."
Lanie stood up and then did josh. Lanie pretty much pulled him out the door. just as she was about to open the door Corison came in, her cheeks were bright red. she looked at Corison and then at Sylan. " ok bye..." she said and walked out with Josh.
Josh opend the door for her Lanie got in and buckled up. when josh got in Lanie said. " ok where are we goin?"
Josh smiled. " you'll see.."
they drove off.

Corison walked into the house not bothering to say anything to anyone. She closed the door put her bag down by her bed and then curled up. She didn't know what to think anymore. When David had kissed her she haddn't wanted him to stop, and whenhe did there was the strange feeling that she was missing something.

Sylan saw Corison come in and noticed the way she had gone straight upstares. He decided not to follow her and give her some time to herself.

David was still at the park. he pulled out his cell phone and decided to call Sylan. the phone rang.

Josh took Lanie out by a lake a table and chairs with dinner were waiting for them.
lanie gasped when she saw how pretty it was. " josh...how did you manage this?"
Josh smiled. " don't worry about that part. come on." he took her hand led her to the table, he pulled her chair out for her and then sat down himself.
" so you like it?" he said as he took a bite of his food.
Lanie grined. " yes i love it." she said as she picked up her fork.
After they had finished eatting they sat by the lake on a blanket.

Sylan was in the middle of fixing dinner when his phone rang. He picked it up, "Hey David, what's up?" He asked keeping an eye on the eggplant he was frying.

Corison pulled her homework out and somehow finished it in she space of an hour and a half, then she curled up and fell asleep.
