Alex grinned. "Come on." She glanced at Jack for a moment before climbing the shrouds into the rigging. She moved as adeptly as ever. Once she reached the crow's nest, she settled on the small wooden platform and waited for Elizabeth. The crow's nest was her favourite vantage point on the entire vessel.

Kayala frowned,"I know several who have managed to build a house." She looked at Edward,"As a matter fact, they live over there past those sand dunes." Kayala pointed to her right,"Their names are Piper and Felicity Larental. They might be able to help us."

Edward frowned, knowing that James was right, but part of him didn’t want to admit it. Surely there was a way out - the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow had found it many years earlier, so why couldn’t they? “Well mate, surely bein’ with someone else is better than bein’ alone, aye? But ye do have a point.” He paused here, stomach growling loudly. “Is there any food in this godforsaken place?”
-----------
[[Yay! Yes, and now you can have more practice with Joe before you play him in another RP. ]]
Vari sighed exasperatedly; she had just almost fallen asleep when an all-too-familiar voice came at her side. Of course she knew exactly who it was - who else aboard the ship would take the time to bother her with pointless questions? Glaring up at him with one dark eye, she remained sitting in the same position as she had been before. “Tryin’ to enjoy the peace and quiet, but as of late I find there are just far too many interruptions,” Vari replied, hoping he got the idea.
[[Aye, I like that… We could have some fun with this too… ]]
-----------
Daviel Demarest opened his sapphire eyes and sat up in the small hammock, stretching his arms and yawning. He had slept well through the morning - it was probably somewhere in the afternoon by now. Standing up he pulled on his boots and vest; digging into one of the pockets where his money was kept safe. Daviel stopped, recounting in his head - there were supposed to be twenty coins, and he only had eight… and then he ran up the stairs to the main deck. “Joe! I knew it was ye that stole my money, so give it back!”
-----------
Richard scowled at the other man. “And I take it ye’re his best friend all of a sudden… figures. Goes to show ye can’t trust anyone anymore.” With hard blue eyes, Richard stood up and started heading away from Cole. The last thing he wanted was to get into a fight, but with his emotions surging like this, it was a bit hard to control.
[[Whee! ‘Tis fun to make the OC’s fight… And I can’t wait for Rich to see Edward… ]]
-----------
Keyara wasn’t just about to let go of this conversation - not yet. “None at all, because it was my job to eradicate the seven seas of scum like you. And although I am no longer under the employ of the East India Company, there’s still nothing stopping me from killing you now.” In an instant, Keyara had her pistol out and aimed on Lotty.
[[I’m going to have Joanna be sort of the pacifist between the two, since they can’t seem to get along. And are we going to have Beckett run into anyone? I feel bad that he doesn’t have anyone to interact with… ]]

Kayala was already gone, far enough, but close enough to catch Edward's words. "Food!!! Yes!!!" She yelled over her shoulder,"Just stay right there!! I'll be back with food, water and more people to talk to!!!" She scrambled over the sand dunes as fast as she could, yelling loudly,"Piper!!! Felicity!!!! I've company, get food and water ready!!!! I've found someone for you to talk to!!!"

(hmmm, I'm feeling in a strange RP-crazy mood... )
"there are people who actually settle down here?" James gave Edward an amazed look before glancing over at Kayala's disappearing form. However, what struck him as even stranger was the fact that they had to eat in this place. They were dead, right? He didn't figure dead people had to eat, although he was still alive in a sense. He was still there, excisting. James wondered what would drive anyone to actually build a house here, they still had to live with the constant torment of the quiet lands and of their own minds and everything else. He began to feel a little uneasy. What if these people were truly insane? What if Kayala was? For all he knew, though, he could be too. He wondered what made someone finally realize they were insane. He gave Edward another sidelong glance. Should they leave now before Kayala returned with her friends? James remembered when he was a child and his older brother read him stories that had terrified him for weeks on end. They were stories about weird places and people. Stories that reminded him of this. But those are only children's stories, he told himself, they don't happen in real life. Although, this wasn't real life, was it? He shuffled a foot in the sandy soil and struggled with the thoughts going through his mind.

"I see," Joe grinned and sat down beside her. He knew exactly what he was doing, but he lived to torment people like Vari. It was something he had done when he was a little boy on Tortuga. He used to nag at many of the men until they either gave him what he wanted or else a sharp kick in the behind. The latter he had never been to happy to receive, but most of the time they had humored him. "So," but he was stopped short by Daviel. Joe rolled his eyes and stood up to meet the man. "And what makes ye think I took yer money? Perhaps ye spent it somewhere. Or what if someone else took it?" he tried to contain a cocky smile, but he didn't quite succeed.
( Oh, yes! I can see this is gonna be lots of fun! )

"No," Cole stood up as well, "I'm not Edward's friend all of a sudden. I've been his friend for a long time." he glared at the back of the other man. He was trying to keep his cool, it's what he was good at after all. Well, in the real world everyone had always told him that, but now he could hardly contain himself. "Don't you care about Varianna? She's with a man who's alive and who loves her. What can you do but haunt her memory?" He regretted it the moment the words were out of his mouth. He knew if their positions were swapped he would be upset too. And that's why you never act before you thoroughly think your words though, he scolded himself and waited for the storm to come.
__________
Carmon jumped as Daviel came yelling onto the deck, she had wandered off in her own thoughts and almost fallen into a doze. She worriedly watched as the calm Joe met the furious man. She wished they would both just leave each other alone. Was there really any need to fight? She sighed and walked over to Daviel. Her large blue eyes looked earnestly into his, "Daviel," she said quietly, "why must you do this? We have bigger problems than a few coins."
________________
Lotty glared at Keyara. "Really? Well, then you failed horribly in your job because as ye see, I'm still here." her eyes blazed with furry. "and ye weren't ever under the employ of the East India Company. You were just Lord Beckett's tool. Did he ever actually pay you or treat you like a normal soldier?" Keyara had pushed too many buttons now, Lotty was mad. So when the other woman pulled out her pistol it only took seconds before Lotty's was out and aimed at the her.
(hmmm, yeah... or else Lotty's crew can come in... hmmm, Beckett could run into Richard... again. lol although I'm not really minding playing him alone...)
___________
Cutler forced himself up off the hot sand. He might as well start walking again. Maybe this time he would find something. Glancing all around, he began making a dogged line across the sand but always with the ocean in sight.

Edward caught the look James gave him and shrugged. “As long as they’ve got some bloody food mate…” he mumbled, starting to follow the direction Kayala had gone. He could truly care less if these people were psychotic maniacs right now… all he wanted was something to eat and possibly some pleasurable company to satisfy his feelings of loneliness.
-----------
Daviel glared Joe straight in the eyes. There was so much tension building that Daviel had to resist grabbing Joe by the neck and suffocating him. “Look, I and ye both know that 12 shilling’s don’t go missin’ overnight,” he replied, sensing that the other man was hiding something. “An’ I’m sure none of the other crewmates took it, ye little no good snake in the grass!” But as soon as he said it, Daviel heard Carmon’s soft voice in his ear. “Carmon, I know he’s filched from me - just look at him! He’s got that god-awful look on his face, don’t ye see it?”
Vari sighed; all of this arguing was giving her a headache. All she wanted was a little peace and quiet, but of course there was something to ruin it. “Both of ye shut up and just give him the bloody money back, Joe.” She glared up at the two men with a very annoyed expression, wishing they would continue this somewhere else. -----------
Richard turned around violently as he heard Cole’s words. “Of course I care about her! You think I’ve suffered ten years of heartache for nothin’? I would die fer her a hundred times over if I had to, an’ I’m pretty sure that’s sayin’ somethin’ since death has already taken me.” He closed his eyes, holding back the tears that were threatening to spill forward. Richard pushed the memories to the back of his mind and looked at Cole with a softer expression before turning back around and walking further down the beach.
-----------
As Joanna watched what was happening, her eyes grew as wide as saucers. Surely if she didn’t step in, there would be a massive blood battle. “Stop this! What in the world are you doing?!” Joanna quickly stepped in between the two conflicting women, shooting worried glances at each of them. “Put those away!”
Keyara cast an annoyed look at her former captain, watching the woman try and act as the pacifist. What did she think she was going to resolve? Even if there would be no physical damage, there was always going to be the verbal damage that remained, and Keyara wasn’t sure which hurt more. “Right after Mrs. Applegate here has taken her last breath,” Keyara replied, attempting to move Joanna out of her line of fire. “Which shan’t take long if I have my way.” Her green eyes were cold and hardened with malice; she desired to shoot Lotty full of holes, but the more rational side of her was still telling her this was way beyond childish. [[Lol, I just realized that everyone is fighting in this RP… ]]

Kayala scrambled over the edge of the sand dune, with food in her arms,"SEE!!! I brought food!!! And friends!!!" Her friends jumped down the sand dune, running past Kayala, also carrying food, laughing.

(I'm still here. I'm just waiting on Anie. But I think we might have to godmod Freya, yes. Well, we haven't got much of a choice. But I know what you mean, I hate it too.)

(ok, hey, Millie! Good to hear that! hmmm, yeah, you're right, I guess... we really don't have much of a choice. So I guess I'll give her some more time, but I'll start godmoding Barbossa if we really need him... (like for the good Jack/Barby scene I have in mind...) anyway, I don't want to get too far ahead of Anie so when she comes back she has a lot to catch up on... but...)
James stayed behind a little and watched as Edward walked toward the place Kayala had disappeared. He still wasn't so sure. Of course a pirate would go there. Pirates never thought deeply about some of these things, but he still couldn't help but feel a bit of his old wariness. He glanced around as Edward grew smaller and smaller. This was a blank desert, empty, dry and lonely. Although could the inside of a shack be much better? All those inside must have gone insane years ago from the heat or the wide open emptiness. He took a step back as he saw Kayala and her friends running over the sand dune like lunatics. The food was enticing, but at that point there was nothing that could entice him to go toward them. The whole place made him uncomfortable.

Joe met Daviel's glare with a cocky one of his own. He dared the other man to do something, knowing he wouldn't. "How can ye tell one shilling from another? What if I showed ye every shilling in my pocket? would ye be able to point out yours? and what if yer's fell out during the night?" he grinned at Daviel and watched as Carmon came closer and interrupted them.
"Daviel, let it go." she glared over at Joe, she knew he had taken the shillings, but it wasn't worth getting worked up over it. There were other things the two of them could be doing. "of course I see it. But can't you help the crew so we can..." she stopped, she didn't know if she could say it out loud. "get to World's End quicker. For... Cole." she looked into his eyes pleadingly.
"No," Joe glanced down at Vari, "I didn't take his bloody money so why should I give anythin' back? He should just listen to his lady friend. Ms. Carmon."
_____________
Cole shut up and looked down at the ground. This was the reaction he had expected from the other man and it was only reasonable. "No one can blame you." he said softly as he watched the other man walk away. He was sure Vari would still remember and love Rich, but probably not in the way he wanted her to. He sighed and glanced around the beach. He didn't feel like he should follow Richard, but he dreaded being left here alone with his thoughts.

Lotty jumped a little as she heard Joanna step in. She glanced over at the other woman irritatedly. She had been so perfectly intent upon killing Keyara that she had almost completely forgotten anything else that was going on, including Joanna. She cast a furious look at Keyara and raised her pistol again. She was just asking for it now and was there really any reason to keep her alive? she was no good at all. Almost as bad as... Lotty stopped herself before she thought it. Instead she turned her mind back to the present. "Don't be so sure." she fought back the sudden feeling of remorse that had begun building up in her. What was she doing?
_______________
Hours passed in the hot sun before Beckett finally noticed that it seemed to be slowly sinking into the ocean. Was night finally coming? Or was this just another illusion? The whole day had seemed like an illusion to him. He wondered what was happening in the Real World and on his estate and to his Company and to... her. No, he tried not to think about that. That was just foolish and childish. His thoughts went in circles, his head swam. He was beginning to regret ever becoming lord of anything and ever trying to kill all the pirates. No, that's no the way to think, he told himself, what he had been doing was right. The good people always seemed to suffer in the end.

Kayala smiled at James sadly, noticing his shock at her running down the sand dune happily with her friends,"Sorry if I scared you James. They're the only people I've actually had fun with while I was here." She looked at Edward,"Next to Edward of course. Now Edward!! I thought you were hungry! Help me with these food here please?"

Edward couldn’t help but smile at Kayala’s bouncy nature. “Of course.” He glanced over at Felicity and Piper - they seemed like nice people, if not very hospitable; and anyone bearing food right now, Edward would be indebted to. Casting a backwards glance, he found that James still had not moved. “Pardon me one moment.” With a smile, Edward walked back to make sure James was okay. Making sure the other three were out of earshot he said, “Look, they’re Kayala’s friends - you don’t want to make her feel bad, do you?” He looked at the other man with concern in his eyes.
-----------
Daviel glanced at Carmon solemnly. “I-- I’m sorry; you’re right - this is pointless, there’s more important things…” He looked down at her apologetically, feeling as if his heart might burst at the way she looked when Cole was mentioned. Even though he didn’t really want to let the subject go, Daviel forced himself to for Carmon’s sake. He truly hated the way that Joe looked at him with his eyes full of deceit. He knew the other man had stolen his money - there was no doubt in his mind.
Vari glared at Joe with distaste as he tried to lie and make up excuses for why Daviel’s money had gone missing. She knew from personal experience that this was not the first time a crewmember’s valuables had gone missing - and each time Joe had been the one being accused. “Look, I’m glad all of ye are tryin’ to resolve this troublesome issue, but if ye don’t mind, I’d like no part of it.” Vari stood up and headed below deck to her hammock, feeling her growing headache only getting worse. -----------
Richard had covered a good distance in the short time he’d been walking and was proud that he didn’t lose it all in front of the boy. It still hurt to talk about, even after all this time and now another man had entered the picture? Turning around abruptly, Richard found that Cole had silently followed him. “What are ye followin’ me fer? It’s gettin’ dark, and I’m going home. Don’t ye have some place ye should be gettin’ back to?” With this he walked a little ways further to a small shack made out of driftwood found on the beach.
-----------
Joanna looked back and forth at each woman, expecting a giant puddle of blood to appear at her feet. “Look - this ain’t going to solve anythin’ - only cause more problems. Can’t ye two get along for a few seconds at least?”
“No.” Keyara replied and put her pistol away before walking off. She could care less if Lotty decided to shoot her - it would be better than being miserable for the rest of her life. She had finally had enough of this childish fighting - all she wanted was to get off of this island and return back to the way things had once been, but part of her knew that things would never be the same again.
“Keyara!” Joanna turned back to Lotty and shook her head. “I’m really sorry about all this.”

Alex closed her eyes, allowing her happiness to fill her completely as the warm breeze rushed over her face and tousled her long dark hair. "It is beautiful. There is nothing like it."
