Knyn moved to intervene before the belligerence could progress. Making no move for the greatsword on his back yet knowing he could unsheathe it in an instant, he said calmly, "We mean you no harm. State your allegiance."

Cadenius sheathed both of his swords and whistled softly. Soon a horse, named Trania, silently trotted from the woods. He mounted her, stroking her neck. "None of you guys should be worried about me taking blood from you," he said to his newly made comrades. "I only feast on blood when I am severly wounded. When that time comes, that will be beyond your immediate concerns."

With great discomfort Raelin stumbled back on his horse... "Your history when i get my wings back." he mumbled to the horse angrily.
Then he trotted up next to Turwaithiel and whispered in her ear "I don't like the looks of this guy... Then again, most people don't like the looks of me so maybe i shouldn't be talking.." he said grinning at her.

The mage rode next to Turwathiel and whispered "My lady, are we to trust these fools? We are of Noble blood, you and I. Are we to even stand alongside these people? We are above this!" he exclaimed, and started to cough and sputter and vomited blood slightly. He wiped it away, but kept his gaze on the Elf, breathing hard.

Raelin trotted away from Turwaithiel and up next to Cadenius. He took another good look at the man, and noticed wingbones.
"Wings growin in eh?" he asked

A forbidding wind howled through the valley, chilling the spines of the mountains. At the base of the bleak and barren slopes sat a single black trapdoor, leading down into the abyss for all anyone knew.

Knyn and the others drew their horses up at the top of the valley. He looked down at the entrance to the Tomb of Kings and couldn't repress a shudder.

"So here we are at last" the mage managed to say in a hoarse whisper. "The door to Death." he laughed. Such a shrill laugh in the dead of night, and it matched the howling wind. But even the mage stopped short, for he thought it best not disturb anything, even the wind in this bleak place.
