At the world elves, Ghyreian jolted herself back to earth. She tried to sit up, immediately began getting complaints from her head, and lay back down.

"If they come up here and find us, they'll think we killed Lorac," she breathed.

"And they would have missed the part of a dragon flying over their lands? No I don`t think so, but they will consider it as a first possibility in their blind rage so let`s hope that there are only few of them..."

Edwin said and finnished treating the wound of Ghyreian, he backed down and washed his hands. He offered Ghyreian a water from a small bowl.

"You should drink..."

Ghyreian took the water bowl, propped herself up on the pillows, and sipped slowly.

"Did Cyan Bloodbane mention where he was going?" she asked with a wry half-smile.

Gwyn stood there, petrified, her mouth gaping open. This was the first time she had seen a dragon, and what a magnificent, dangerous beauty it was....

She quickly went over to Ghyreian to try to help.

"No... he would be quite foolish to tell, but he seemed very pissed off so he will probably go to a place where he can heal his wounds and calm down... or if you might call it wounds what he suffered... probably a cave of his own because he seems more of a loner than movig with the other dragons since he was here all by himself..."

Edwin pulled out his dagger as he heard someone approach, as Gwhyn appeared he lowered the dagger, but kept it at hand.

"Well our guide did make it..."

Ghyreian displayed a small smirk at seeing Gwyn alive.

"You made it," she said dryly. "I'm overjoyed."

The voices outside were getting closer. They didn't sound elven, and they were definitely not speaking Silvanesti. Ghyreian quickly leaned over and put out the candle.

"Father!" a figure ran past their doorway, apparently not seeing them. There was a bang as the doors to the throne room were opened, followed by a shrill outcry of grief.

"Tanis!" a male voice shouted. "There's people over here!"

"Nuitari help me," Ghyreian breathed as she prepared a spell.

Edwin had his dagger ready and spells in his mind to kill whom ever came trough, he leaned against the wall next to the door as he pulled Gwhyn out of the way. A male elf with a beard stepped catiously to the doorway, then Edwin placed a dagger on his throat, bu couldn`t help smiling slightly as he regonized the half elf.

"Well well... I never though to see you here Tanis nor your friends... Ghy how long has it been since saw them? Quite a while eh?"

Edwn said with his dagger on Tani`s throat.

But before she could reply there was a deafening roar as a human giant charged through the doorway with his sword held high.

"Edwin, watch out!" Ghyreian shouted, then whispered a word under her breath. "Nuitari..." Lightning bolts shot out from the tips of her fingers. They were not as large nor as deadly as the ones she usually cast at full strength, but they stopped the warrior long enough for Edwin to dodge the swinging sword. Soft chanting sounded from the corridor outside, which was overlapped by cursing in a strange barbarian tongue. A Plainsman taller than the door charged into the small room, shouting a battlecry as he rushed to save the half-elf.

"Stop!" Tanis roared. "Riverwind, Caramon calm down! Somebody shake Raistlin."

Riverwind halted his charge midway but did not lower his weapon. Caramon clapped his hand on Tanis's shoulder and glared at Ghyreian and Edwin. The chanting outside dwindled away into nothingness.

Edwin stood there pulling his hair off his face with his thin fingers, he hmped slightly as he watched them all. No one seemed to be willing to talk, but finally Edwin decided to brake the silence.

"Well... just like the last time eh? You attack as like a pack of hungry wolves while we will defend ourselves... well.. I am sorry to inform you that are too late... Cyan and the orb are elsewhere since he managed to drive him off, but Lorac just happened to be in the right place at the wrong time..."

Edwin placed his dagger n his sleeve and took a step forwards looking at Ghyreian.

"Do you think, you can walk?"

"Neither of you are leaving until you explain a few things, damn it," Tanis growled.

"And none of you are getting any explanations unless we feel like giving them," Ghyreian snapped back.

"Let me just kill them now..." Riverwind said loudly.

"I said not yet! Why is Cyan Bloodbane gone? Where'd he go?" Tanis asked calmly.

Ghyreian smiled and folded her arms across her chest. "If you're after the dragonorb, we can't help you. The dragon has left to gods know where, and - " She was interrupted by a shriek of rage as Alhana Starbreeze leapt in and launched herself at the mages.

Caramon quickly caught her and held her as she screamed, "You killed him! You killed him! Murderer and dark elf witch! And you - " she rounded on Gwyn " - traitor! You let my father die..." She sank onto the floor sobbing uncontrollably.

Edwin got up and looked at them, he knew what Alhana felt and had a stung of compassion.

"Lady Alhana, I know you have lost your father and it will be easy to blame her, but if you try to harm her then I will probably kill you and I would do it knowing that I didn`t do anything wrong... and to the rest of you besides I know the same feeling since I have lost my parents... I need no pity, but you do so look for it from these because I have stopped giving it anymore to you.."

Edwin looked at everyone else.

"Now... you have either two choices... kill us and I will take some of you down with me or leave us be since we have explained ourselves already..."

"And what have we gained from interrogating them, dear Tanis?" Raistlin rasped. "Nothing! The dragonorb is gone, and Silvanesti is doomed."

Alhana, hearing this, raised her head in anger. As his words sank in her anger gave way to despair. She moaned softly. Raistlin sneered and moved out of sight towards the throne room. Caramon, casting one last anxious glance around at the others, followed him out.

"And as you and your almighty father banished me, now the Sylvan Land banishes you, my lady," Ghyreian murmured without expression.

Tanis caught Ghyreian's words and looked at her in disgust. "Let's go," he muttered. One by one they filed out until Ghyreian, Edwin, and Gwyn were alone in the room once more.

Edwin sighed.

"Raistlin seems to be the only one who talks sense of them and the rest seem to be quite emotional about all of this... funny..."

Edwin looked at Ghyreian.

"Before this trip I would have probably judged you, but now..."

Edwin shrugged.

"Well that doesn`t matter... are you able to walk?"

"Do I look as if I'm able to walk?" she snapped, then sighed. "Yes, I can try." She carefully got out of the bed, leaning on Edwin's arm.

"We've got to get out of Silvanesti first."

"I couldn`t agree more..."

Edwn helped Ghyreian to walk and took their equipments with him, they exited the room and Edwin looked towards the throne room where the odd group had gathered around Lorac`s body. Edwin was silent for a while and didn`t move at all.

"What do we do with her back there or shall we leave her here with this weird group?"

Edwin said with a voice that seemed to be far away, but his head nodded to the room they had exited.

They descended the stairs to the lower levels of the tower and emerged out into the nightmare forest.
