Bret glanced up and Shonnalen, and nodded. "I don't mind." he said. He looked back down at the duffel bag, aimlessly folding and refolding his clothes.

"Turdy I have a five point star on my cheek that is still tender, and a lecture to accompony it. Both delivered by my sister. I don't need you to lecture me too." He sat down on the edge of the bed and smoothed her hair back from her face. "Why do you always have to get hurt?" He asked.

Shonnalen waited for an answer. If he told her to leave she would.

"You can come in, I don't mind." Bret said, pulling a large box out from under his bed. He started rumaging through it, avoiding Shonnalen's eyes.

Shonnalen stepped into the room and watched him pack for moment. "You should have put him in his place." She said. She cocked her head to the side. "Why didn't you ..." She trailed off and rubbed the side of her head again. It was begining to feel as if someone had wacked her over the head with a two-by-four. She looked back at Bret.

Bret shook his head uncertainly. "I don't know... I just- I didn't want to fight him. There's enough hurting going around without me adding to it." He glanced up at Shonnalen, seeing her rub her head. "Headache?" he asked.

"Yeah." Shonnalen said. "I had it when I came back from the hospital. I thought it went away ... but now it's back. nothing to worry about though." She said hideing the fact that she was in sever pain. She walked over and sat on the end of his bed. "Well ..." She looked up at him. "I'm sorry to see you go." She stood to leave, but suddnly got very dizzy. She pressed a hand to her forehead. "Oh ... My." The room seemed to spin around her. Shonnalen's kneese buckled.

"Shonna?" Bret jumped up and grabbed Shonnalen's arms as her legs gave out on her. He managed to move her back to the bed. "What's wrong?" he asked, worry written across his face.

Shonnalen felt Bret grab her arms. She sat back on the bed. "I ... I got dizzy ... that's all." She said trying to shake off the feeling. She closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them and slowly stood again. "I'm fine ... really." She said seeing the worried look on his face. "I better go and let you finish packing." She headed for the door.

Raelyn reach up and put a hand on the cheek that shonnalen slaped. she scoffed. " ever since i came i've always been getting hurt. i guess it just happends." she tried to smiled.

Trudy didn't seem Bret storm out of the room. neither did she see Shonnalen walk out. " where did Bret go? after you hit him..." she asked a worried look on her face.

"Are you sure you're ok?" Bret asked Shonnalen. He couldn't help but remember the incidents of that morning, when she had been sick.

Trudy frowned. " i thought you guys were at least nice to each other now. sweetheart you didn't have to hit him. he wasn't the one hurting it, it was actually your sister. i had to be sewed up with nothing to numb my sholder......" she said giving Brendon the reality of it. " and you know me...i freak out about these things." she blushed and was slightly embaressed.

Aliana walked around the perimeters, hoping to catch a glimpse of the man who hunted them, but he was nowhere to be found. Most likely he abandoned the area once more, and would return when they least expected it. Sighing heavily, Aliana walked back to the mall and quickly entered the run-down building, confused now as to what action to take. True the hospital would be easier to defend, but what of their leader and the others? She could not just leave them now. Sighing again, she returned her gun to the holster as she sat upon the stairs, keeping an eye for anyone that might enter uninvited.

Shonnalen glanced back over her shoulder and smiled at Bret, then left the room. She walked back to her room and took some medicine for the headache. She had to get herself together before everyone was read to go.

Brendon looked down at Trudy and said, "I know ... I was worried about you and over reacted ... you know me too so ... yeah." He sat back up and said, "I know I souldn't have hit him and I'm sorry."
