Professor Adrian Amandius stood, hitting his glass with a spoon. Surprizingly, the hall grew quiet and all students turned there attention to the Headmaster. He cleared his throat and smiled.

"Good'ay, Students, teachers." He said, nodding to each group respectfully in turn. "Welcome back to another year at Hogwarts, and to you first years, welcome for the first time! I know the rest of the students will help you along to keep up with all your classes and all the things you are being introduced too." He said, raising his eyebrows. "Now that the sorting is over, I find myself quite hungry. What about you all?" And with a quick clap of his hands, food appeared on all the tables. "Enjoy." He said, and sat and the Great Hall erupted with talk and laughter and gossip once again.

Kat started spoon helpings of all types of food on to her plate. The food was always great here, unlike her mother's cooking, who kept the entire family dieting.

"It's so good to be back!" Emmeline sighed before starting to eat.

The headmaster looked down and around the students after a long while and most of the students had gotten there fill of food. He looked around and then stood, again in the same fashion as he did before, hitting the glass lightly with his spoon, and the Great Hall fell silent once again.

"Hullo agian." He said cheerfully. "I would like to give a few points and information to the students, now that I can talk without having to try and talk over the rumble of stomachs." The headmaster grinned. "As you all know, and all should know by now, unless you are a first year, of course, that the Forbidden Forest is indded, of limits." As the Headmaster said this, Shade felt like his gaze fell upon Shade and Shade alone, but the feeling pasted quickly as he contiuned with announcments.

"The House Cup is still going on, as you should also know, and I will start each House out, with 10 points." He smiled and then added, "Also, Quidditch tryouts, for teams that need them, are being held this Friday. A very fun sport, Quidditch. And, Hogwarts will also be having a Winter ball that is coming up soon, and only students with there best behavior will be allowed to attend, so I suggest-" Again, the feeling fell upon Shade that the Headmaster was looking right at him, "That you keep yourself out of harm's and troubles way this year, at Hogwarts. Now, if you will please follow your Prefects for your House, they will show you the way to your common rooms. Good evening."

Emmeline grinned, she was most looking forward to Quidditch. She was a Gryffindor Chaser. Still smiling she stood up from her seat and followed her friends, talking and laughing up to the Common Room.
