On their epic journey down the stench ridden halls of the cave, Jack couldn't help but wonder. What was William Turner doing here anyway? How was he here? Had it been ten years since Will stood on land?
Almost stopping in his tracks, Sparrow inquired to the Turner who walked on ahead of him, "Oi, jus' how long is th' Capt'n of the Dutchman allowed to be 'ere? 'Ere meanin' land of course."

It had been hours since they began their long stretch of journey through the cave. The darkness grew deeper and the tunnel seemed to never end...like a bottomless pit..
Upon hearing Jack's question, William felt the tug of guilt on his conscience. He had been away for quite some time now and knew that soon he would need return to his duties. However, the warmth of Elizabeth's hand, her kiss, and embrace wanted him to stay here forever. Also, his son James needed a father figure in his life....not just a father once every ten years.... Perhaps, he would never go back...maybe he should just put his father in charge forever.....no....the Dutchman was his responsibility....he couldn't just abandon it.....
As these thoughts and decisions raced through his mind, he pushed Jack's question aside, "Jack, do you know where this treasure of yours may be?"

Portia just remained silent as she listened to the two pirates talk. She shook her head a bit and sighed deeply. She held onto her sword still and looked over their faces.

Mr. Gibbs looked around and sighed heavily and quite loudly, but like Portia, he did not interrupt the two captains, but was rather enjoying himself, and would only interveen if he decided nessary.

"Not treasure mate!" Captain Sparrow corrected William with a dull gaze. A dull gaze that was given to Turner far too many times before, that Jack had lost count. Why couldn't the whelp find the part of his brain to help him think things through before he always turned and started asking bothersome questions.
"Th' treasure we're lookin' for isn't very well treasure at all, though it may seem like treasure, it's not. Th' treasure is to be found inside the thin' that we are searchin' for, the thin' that is not treasure." There, that was simple and easy to remember.

Will looked over his shoulder back at the echoing voice of Jack Sparrow...what the bloody did that mean? His eyes twitched and then fell back straight to the darkness of the tunnel...it didn't matter....he was just happy to be back on land with his loved ones...
Just then, William's footing slipped and he felt his body begin to fall into a deep pit. Luckily, he had released his grip on Elizabeth and James, before he fell.
Hitting the bottom with a thud, Will moaned as he rolled onto his side. His shoulder felt like it had shattered, but after a few moments, he stood up, grabbing the torch that had followed him down, and shouted back up to the others, "I'm all right! Watch your step!"

Portia sighed deeply and looked down the pit that Will had fell in. She looked over to Jack and then rested one of her hands on her hips. "Well, there lies a problem." She told him and looked down to Will again.

"Oi!" Jack said propping himself to the ground and peering over the edge. "Do ye see a way up? Therefore, givin' us a way down?"
The Captain's eyes squinted and he wondered if that certain 'pit' lead to a certain 'prize' that held a secret 'treasure'.

Will's eyes squinted upward as he tried to make out the dark silouttes of the crew above. Dirt fell toward his face in small patches of dust causing him to rub it out of his eyes.
Blinking hard, he lifted the torch high and searched for a way up or a way down, "I don't see an entrace or exit, Jack." But then....something caught his eye...something shiney... "There is something down here!" he shouted back up.

"What?" Jack chirped. If William had found something, Jack knew he would make himself the first to see the something William had found.
"What is it?!" Called the impatient Captain again to the dark figure below.

Placing the torch's bright flame toward the moist dirt soil below his feet, Will reached for the shimmering object and pulled it close to his eyes, examining it. "It's a small jewel...." he shouted back up at the others.
Just then, he felt a chilly breeze blow near his legs. "What the?" he mummbled.
Ducking his head under some overhanging rocks, he found a small shaft to a lower section of the cave. "There is a larger cave down below here!"
Stalagtites and stalagmites lined the ceilings and floor of the other cave. Everything seemed to have a deep blue glow to it and above the stalagtites were glow worms of a bright white.

Without hesitation, Captain Jack jumped to his feet and yanked the nearest crewmembers around towards his body and locked arms with them.
"Quick like fire mates! Let's make a human chain to far off chasm below! Savvy?"
