Jack stared out towards the sea. What now? They were surviving. Did they try to get home now? Sit back and relax for a few seconds? What?

"Contemplating the meaning of life?" Charlie asked, sitting down next to him.

"Nah," Jack replied. He looked over at Charlie. "Just sitting here."

"Well that's cool," Charlie said, shifting positions. "I like sitting."

Boone laid out in the sand, fast asleep. It was nice to be able to relax for once.

Kate walked with her bare feet through the warm sand in the direction of the camp. The sun had almost disappeared she better would get back there before the dark.. who knew what was still out there.. She passed people she got to know such a short time ago and noticed Jack and Charlie sitting next to each other staring at the ocean, smiled and said "Hi".

Jack continued to stare into the ocean, but Charlie turned toward her. "Hey Kate. Where've you been all this time?" he stood up and started to lead Kate away from Jack who just remained where he was, not saying a word. "Man, the guy's just been sitting there like that for hours! I think I'd've gone mad if I'd had to sit there one more second! There's nothing to do around here! I almost wish that something bad would happen..." he sighed.

Boone woke up where he was napping. "Did someone say action?" He'd been bored for the past few days. Everyone was sitting around like there was nothing left to do. They were still stranded weren't they? He slowly stood up. "Count me in." He and Charlie walked off, discussing whether or not they should bring guns to which they decided it might be a good idea.

Once they were gone, Jack finally spoke. To no one in general, and without moving in the slightest. "What now?" It was hard to bring himself to say it. He'd always had the answers. He always knew what to do.
