Emily now started to run as fast as she could, while trying to keep her leg from coming off. "VICTOR!" She yelled and looked around. She then tripped over a loose cobblestone and fell to the ground. "Oomph!" She said.

As Victoria reached the tall mansion doors, she grabbed her shawl off the golden coat hanger. Wrapping it tightly around her shoulders and head because she did not want to catch cold, she then pulled the large door open with one hand.
Slamming it shut behind her, she headed in the direction of Victor's house, which was about 2 minutes away without a carriage.

There it was again. Someone calling him by name. "No, no, it's foolish to believe in such things." he tried to tell himself, while taking his tall, skinny form down the long black twisted stairs.

Emily slowly hoisted herself up and noticed that her leg had come off. She groaned and snapped it back in place. She then looked back to where she had heard Victor's voice. She started jogging there. "VICTOR? PLEASE, ANSWER! IT'S ME, EMILY!" She yelled and looked desperately at the different houses.

What was that? That voice was familiar! Who was it? Victoria stopped dead in her tracks and shifted her eyes to the right and left. Wrapping her shawl around her head tighter, she quickly hid behind a large pillar located near the town's bank. She breathed lightly and quietly.
Victor's house was only a couple yards away....she could make it if she ran.

Victor stopped halfway down the stairs. "E-E-Emily?" He stammered, just by saying the name. The name that haunted his thoughts, his dreams and everyone and everything around him.
He decided to nervously move his way down the stairs, and with a twist of the brass crooked knob, Victor opened the front door and poked out his head. "Emily?" he whispered.

Emily continued running, until she saw a man poking his head out. She then instantly stopped and stared at him. It was Victor!!! She smiled widely and then ran toward him. "Victor!" She exclaimed happily and then went into his arms, giving him the biggest hug she could give.

Victor gasped and started to smile, "Emily?" His wide confused dotted eyes, soon blinked rapidly and then....

His long lanky body collasped in her arms in an ovbious faint.

Victoria looked for any sign of something following her and then made a mad dash towards Victor's house. She breathed heavily and held up her maroon skirt so that it would not trip her.

Emily looked down to Victor and noticed his unconscience form. She sighed and slowly walked into his home. She closed the door behind her and walked Victor to his living room. She laid him down on the couch, gently and watched him, while standing up.
