"He set a timer?" Abby replied smiling in the disbelief. "Wow, that's harsh, even for John" she finished. She listened as she asked about Kurt and sighed.
"Well" Abby began, "It was supposed to be our training session. But daddy decided to break that up." she paused, almost spitting out the word daddy. "He came to tell Kurt that he'd gotten some mysterious transmission, I've not seen him since he bamfed to the comms room."

"I am figured you wouldn't know much about the transmission. We can figure that all out a little bit later, but why are you training?" Kira asked, perplexed, "I mean. Yeah, life isn't that great, but is there some new menace, or are you just power hungry like me?"

Minna gave a small sigh, Kira's and Abby's conversation was not interesting. She perked up though, at Kurt's conversation with his mother. "Apocalypse." She hissed loudly to her siblings, forgotting to draw up the air needed to hide any noise they had.

Wild hisses and howls prevailed the air as Charles desperately tried to get his jaws around the Owl's neck. In his attempt, his books and jacket were ripped into shreds of cloth and paper. Talons ripped through flesh and blood, except the latter was quickly fixed like a pupil erasing an error. Abandoning his pursuit for the neck, Charles roughly grabbed the Owl's hand, ignoring the sharp crack as pressure was forced on his elbow, forming an awkward angle with it. His teeth closed on two fingers, severing it completely and leaving a gentle flow of blood. Blood that could be used to power his half brother who was now....

Dodging and evading Red's missiles and bombs. The extra stimulation that his heart was going through had greatly enhanced John's reflexes and agility. Frankly, there was not much he could do. A great number of his abilities required active concentration, something that Red was bent on restricting. There was one thing though. Something that he had looked forward to trying. Absorbing the flowing blood from the melee nearby, he stood his ground as Red swooped down for yet another assault, his arm clenching a bomb. John concentrated on his enemy's arm and made a swift gesture with his hand. The blood vessels in the arm ripped open, causing Red to drop his bomb and retreat. The Owl, missing two fingers and seeing his partner flee, was quick to follow suit, leaving the two half-brothers in the bloodied and burnt street.

I was cured all right.

"Just keeping on my toes, y'know" Abby replied, "Plus it gives us time away from everyone else." she was about to continue talking about how good it was to be away from prying eyes, where she could just be herself and not just a soldier.

Apocalypse! the words filtered over to where Abby and Kira sat. She shot upright and took an instinctive defensive position. "You hear that?" she asked Kira.

Kurt walked out of the Communications room and turned to see Quicksilver still there. "I need to speak with your father, Pietro. It's urgent."

"You better believe I did," Kira remarked. Turning her head towards the sound, Kira lifted her hand and sent a slight flurry of flame in the direction of the noise, to hopefully scare off any intruder.

Erchirion sent the fire right back at Kira, frowning. Minna let the air around them drop. Elendili put out any other flame Erchirion missed. Charlie had his hands in the air, a flurry of apologies coming out of his mouth.


"sorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorry!"

It left him breathless, "Sorry. Hi. I'm Charlie, these are my siblings, Minna, Erchirion and Elendili. We haven't been in touch with any other mutants in a while. His emerald-green eyes blazed, "Would you like to know what Kurt is up too?"

Upon seeing the four siblings, Abigail eased down slightly. But shot a glare when they mentioned Kurt. "You've been spying on us?" she was slightly offended, "The conversations that take place in and around these grounds are private. Count yourselves lucky it was me and not Magneto or my father that found you here. Neither would be as generous as I am." she tilted her head slightly, awaiting an explanation.

"I would prefer to see what you are up to," Kira muttered to herself, not caring, at the moment, about any sudden crisis that may be occurring in the world. She waited until Abby was finished and then made sure each of the siblings understood her side. "Neither am I," Kira threw in, "Generous, that is. Your little flamethrower doesn't know the half-of-it. You catch me when I am in any different mood from not backstabbing a jerk friend, and we would not be having this conversation."

Erchirion's fist tightened in anger as Kira criticized his fire, but shut his eyes, ignoring it.

Minna then bowed her head in acknowladgement to Abby, "Thank you then. For your generosity. And yes we were spying on you. But only to see if there was anything interesting going on among the other mutants such as yourself."

"While I appreciate the honesty" Abby began, keeping her distance from the four, "We're at war. There is always something going on, though interesting isn't the word I'd choose to describe it" her eyes narrowed as she began to get suspicious "Why are you here exactly? Information? Help? Because if you're not willing to fight alongside us, you're not needed." she smiled "No offence"

"Do you need any assistance?" Magneto asked Nightcrawler, turning his head to look at him.

"My mother said to come alone" Kurt replied, shaking his head.

"But you do not trust her" the X-Men's leader retorted, knowing full well how untrustworthy Mystique could be.

"No, I do not." he sighed, "But alas I feel it is something I must do."
Kurt thought of Abby. How was he supposed to tell her he was going on mission, alone. She would not like the idea, especially not as it involved his mother.

Magneto turned to face Kurt, taking off his helmet to reveal his mane of long white hair. "If this is what you wish. Then you must go. But be careful, Kurt. There are more things out there than your mother to be concerned about." his voice was grave and foreboding.

Kurt nodded grimly, "Ja, this I know. When I have found Destiny and taken her to Avalon, I will return." without another word he Bamfed away to find Abby.

Minna smiled warmly, trying to keep up with her good impressions.


"Information."


Elendili answered for her sister, 'We're here for information, and we are quite willing to help thank you very much." Erchirion and Charlie beamed, "No Offence Taken."

"Information on what?" Abby asked, her curiosity piqued, her smile remained. "What makes you think we have information that you need?"

Suddenly the air rippled and with a bamf and a tinge of brimstone, Nightcrawler appeared nearby. Not recognising any of the four siblings, he immediately went into protect mode and with one swift movement he had one of his sabre's pointed at them.
"Who are you? Why are you here?" he asked suspiciously, his eyes narrowing.

"Now you see what showing up uninvited gets you" Abby said to them before turning to Kurt. "It's okay, there here to help. I think"

Kurt eyed them all and drew his gaze back to Abby.
"Are you sure? Do you trust them?"

"Well, no. But they've not done anything that warrants one of your swords pointed at them" she turned and smiled, "Yet"

Kurt sheathed his sword back into the holster he had on his back. Abby gave him a sidelong glance. He only wore them on missions, something was up. But first they had to assertain what these mysterious mutant siblings had up there sleeve.

"So" Abby continued. "Where were we?"

Minna acknowledged Kurt with a smile before turning to Abby again.

"Information." she started, "So far, from what the wind has been telling me from you guys, Apocalypse's power is rising." She paused, but only for a moment. "We plan to stop him. But in order to stop him, we needed information on his whereabouts."

"We also need the help of other mutants." Erchirion added, "It was not our intention to bother you for counsel as we would not be welcomed, but in order to get the data desired, me and my siblings felt that eavesdropping was quite essential for our causes."

John and Charles laid where they were for a couple minutes, resting, catching their breaths. It was quite clear that the ambush was for John, seeing as he was one of Magneto's lieutenants. He went towards his bike that was scratched and dented but still worked. Frowning at it, he picked up and turned on the engine.

"You'll be all right, Charles," he asked as he mounted the bike.

He merely growled, his mind still under the feral influence. He darted after his half brother.

Kira's thoughts were still clouded with the disappointment that let's-put-out-my-fire boy didn't feel any sort of offense toward her insult. However, through her foggy mind, Kira managed to still think through logic. "You could have just said, 'Hi,'" Kira pointed out of the sibling crew, "Instead of coming in here getting us all razzled up over whether we can trust you or not."
