"Cat fight?" Denaris raised a shapely eyebrow at the elf who had spoken and grinned. "Yes I could call it that, my forthcoming battle with Lameo." He gasped and assumed an expression of terror. "Oh, my most sincere apologies. I meant to say dragonfight."

He let his hand fall to his side but did not sit down. "Yes, how did you know I was a thief? I have a natural eye for gray and dreary rocks. Collecting them is my hobby, you see."

At the sight of the two "mages" apparently preparing for a duel, the tavern quickly emptied. The customers stumbled over eachother to get to the exits. In seconds, the bar was empty save for a few elves, a human, and a dragon.

Denaris's smirk would have widened had he been given the space to breathe. He moved his head a bit to take a gulp of air. Should he and Ladeos come to blows, he knew that without the proper preparations the ancient wrym would defeat him, Second of the Council as he was. Still, he silently began placing a few powerful wards around his body.

"Really, you should learn to control your temper, my lord," he said as he traced defensive arcane designs in the air behind his back. "I was complimenting the rocky decor of your home. They are brilliant rocks, you know. Absolutely stunning." Seeing the look on Ladeos's face, he quickly amended, "But I suppose you do want to talk?" He let out an exaggerated sigh, his fingers behind his back working rapidly. "If you let me go, I'll be happy to indulge in conversation."

Ladeos brought Denaris down to his feet and grabbed his hair forcing him to sit, Ladeos knew that the mage could began preparing his spells so he began preparing in his mind too wondering how he should roast this arrogant being. Ladeos walked behind the counter as the innkeeper fled the scene and Ladeos picked out a bottle from a closet behind the counter. He placed a glass on the table with the bottle.

"So... leaving your stupid comments and forgiving behind you might tell me what you were doing around there?"

Ladeos quickly looked at the rest of the elves & men who were left there.

"This doesn`t concern you, but if you want to then stay because I always love a good audiance ecspecially when I melted a white mage to non existant pieces of flesh..."

Ladeos said with a amused voice as he poured himself a drink.
