Also, Master Dorana was asking about nuclear capacities - I think you'll find the situation interesting. Since the explosives are shaped, the nuclear damage and fallout are extremely localized, which explains why only Jeraan was affected. We do, however, have quite enough weapons to effectively wipe out the population of the planet - but the likelyhood of that happening is estimated to be three chances in four. It depends on the outcome of this situation."

na'Tatha shook her head, walking to the window and surveying the skyline of Taara. "I beg to differ, sir. The Maaren would hesitate to target the Jedi, since that would lead to complications with the New Republic." Her mind, trained in the political climate of Taarin, moved over the possibilities. "They're more likely to try to isolate you from the Associate, with no influence or effect whatsoever. Maedan targets will undoubtedly be Taarin."

So. An outside influence - suddenly this wasn't simply a planetary problem anymore. na'Tatha bit her lip. "If the Maedan see that we are intensifying our defensive preparations, they will interpret it as an act of aggression, regardless of the fact that they provided us with a legitimate reason. We can only continue preparing at our current rate." She knew that, as an experienced soldier, Sahrai would take it as a given that undercover operations teams were prepared and might already be in action.

na'Tatha didn't move from her position by the window, preferring to let Sahrai field the question. She knew it was early in the mission, but she felt a deep distrust of the Old Republic Jedi, who was an unmistakeable source of tension in the Jedi team.

Good grief. I've lost two posts on this thread. First one was because my computer messed up and quit the forum when I clicked 'post', and the second was when someone else logged me off in the middle of the post. Not that funny.

Sahrai turned towards Viree. "We were discussing what would happen if the negotiations with the Maedan fell through. We haven't come up with anything, but we will need to have a backup plan. If it comes to it, we will form a strike team and try to take out whatever is driving these people." He looked out the window, watching the busy environment outside the building. Putting his hands together, he cracked his knuckles, and proceeded to crack his neck, and his back, the way he normally did when thinking hard.

Kyane walked into the room, his clear blue eyes taking in their surroundings. "I think you got the nicest," he said, admiring the furnishings. "Though, there's nothing at all to complain about in mine. Everything is perfect." He walked over towards the window also, to see what they were all finding so fascinating. "What's so extraordinary?" he asked. He stumbled as his feet sank into the dark carpet. "Wow - that thing's deep."

na'Tatha turned to face Kyane for the first time, taking in the experience shining in the depths of his eyes. "I'm glad you find your apartments suitable."
She glanced at the datapad in her hand and offered it to Sahrai. "Master Faradej, here is the data you requested, detailing the Maedan government, key personnel, and potential targets. The Associate has been trying to arrange a meeting between your team and Maedan representatives. I'll give you further details when they become available."

Viree13 sums up Kyane as he enters, then goes over to him and throws her about his shoulders. "Hey there, I dunno you that well, but nice t'meetcha, I bet me'n'him could come up with a back-up plan, don'tcha think?...." She looks up at Kyane and winks, her jet black eyes glittering. Viree13 then looks at Sahrai, smirking slightly.....

na'Tatha raised her eyebrow - meeting the Maedan in their own territory? She understood the importance of dialogue with them, but entering an area controlled by them seemed a little too ... risky. But it wasn't her decision, either. "I'll inform the Associate, sir." She reached into a pocket on her utility vest and pulled out a Taarin comm link, handing it to Sahrai. "Use this if you need to contact me." The subcommander saluted, then left the room.
