Lily and Jenna were just approaching the park when Lily saw Melissa run out of the park and go towards her house. The other's had obviously been leaving her out again. Without thinking Lily ran out in to the road ad comfort Liss but she didn't even remember getting to the other side, all she heard was the screach of tires and the pain in her side before she blacked out.
