Locke said scrathed his head.

"Watch you back with the others, Jack and a few others have been talking seriously about that gun of yours..."

Locke said and then walked away off to his duties, meanwhile Dave had been walking trough the jungle and stopped as he saw a boar. He decided to go past it, but it spotted him and he began to run like hell. He ran along the tree`s and bushes, but then he tripped and fell. He cursed and looked around, he got up and rushed forwards. He didn`t have time to think, but he was at the planes cargo part. There was stuff laying around, he sighed and sat down looking around as the boar left. He leaned back and took a drink from one of the bottles, he was finally alone for somewhile and tookout some stuff out of his bag. He tookout is old badge, his flight ticket and gun.

He loaded and looked at the gun, he had been sitting on the plane behind Kate and the marshall for a purpose all tough Kate had never seemingly noticed him nor it would have mattered. He had been on a vacation in Australia, then on the airport he had ran into the marshall whom had promissed him a flight back since he was broke after having his wallet stolen. The marshall had hired him to ensure that , if Kate would try to escape at the terminal in Australia or USA it would have been `Dave`s` job to take her down quickly. He had made some upsetting things in the past that sent him into the drinking habbit, one day on duty he had splattered a man`s face on the wall and the sight had just shocked him permanently. Doctors had been no help nor any of these teraphy groups, but booze was a way to ecape all the crap that life had thrown at him.

Kate looked around, she always wished she could get away from the marshal, but she had never expected this... sooner or later the rescue team would come and everyone would be free, except Kate, she never really had any fears except prison, and she was going to go there one way or the other. Kate sighed and sat down on the sand, Jack and his stupid gang could try all they wanted to get that gun off her, but she would never give it up to them.

Lately jack had been up much without sleep and had been hallusinating as the job took it`s tall, he began seeing his father around for some reason perhaps it was guilt. In the night Jack ran after it arriving at the junk, Dave was awakened by Jack`s voice and pointed the gun towards him, but Jack didn`t seem to notice him. Then Jack`s procceeded forwards and Dave out of pure curiosity followed him, Jack arrived to a small waterfall as Dave sneaked into nearby bushes. Jack seemed to say something to himself about water and that there was hope, Dave hmped. What hope was there on this god forsaken island?

His thoughts were cut as Jack left back towards the camp, Dave moved and there was a sound. Jack looked into th bushes quickly, but turned away and walked back to the beach to tell the good news about the drinking water. Dave himself smiled and was going to steal the spot since he would be the first one there. Dave looked around and made a fire as he set up a camp, he made his bed into one of the rocky covers. He smiled as he sat near the fire with a bottle in his hands, he could imagine Jack`s and the others faces as they would find him sitting there with all the fresh water they needed.

Kate got up and walked around, bordem was killing her, at least with Dave around she had someone to talk to, now all she ever done was get told what to by Jack, just because she was a girl they all treated her as is she'd cry when she broke a nail, kate was never bothered about her appearance, plus, she left the crying to Shannon who did it when ever she could.

Claire smiled, she was probally the only one on the island that smiled they where all so grumpy, never looking on the bright side of things.

Jack explained everyone about the water and that they would go there by the morning, Jack approached Kate.

"Kate, we are going to look at the caves in the morning so you can join us, if you want to..."

Jack said and left understanding that Kate wasn`t on the mood for a new argument or a talk.

Jack said with a smile finally that they had something to agree on, the hours passed and everyone rested including Dave in the caves. He wanted to be awake when they arrived, Jack woke people up for the check and they all gathered around.

"Does everyone have their bags filled with empty bottles for the water?"

Jack checked getting few nods.

"Alright, let`s go I`ll take the lead and you may come as you want, but in a line I suggest would be the best"

Kate rolled her eyes as he said he would be leading no suprise on that she threw her bag over her shoulder and followed them at the back of the line

Dave sat whistling in the caves and smiled as he heard voices, he left his equipment there on the open and hid into one of the cavings so that he could hear them, but not see. Jack arrived looking confused as were the others.

"I didn`t see these here last night or it could have been too dark..."

Kate laughed quietly to herself unless you were sleep walking she had an idea of whomight of left them there, she was quite sure of it. Kate looked around "I'm gonna go explore..."

Dave couldn`t help laughing as he stepped out.

"Unless some drunk beat you to the point..."

Jack seemed stunned as Dave jumped down from the cave in and then looked back at the bushes.

"It was you last night hiding in the bushes"

"Who else?" Dave smirked and sat down "In any case as you see I have settled down here quite comfortably, but of course decided to come here often to disturb my peace? well sure, but water is going to cost you..."

One of them stepped forwards, but Dave pulled out his pistol.

"Didn`t see this coming? Kate never had this if you think I got this from her, but I did all along... so you won`t play any games with me here, you may take water you only have to pay for it."

"and what would that be?" Boone asked spreading his hands.

"I don`t know, but I`ll think of something... now go get your water and beat it beach boys..."

Kate looked at Dave "Too bad I ain't paying anything" she said sarcastically as she looked at the gun, "And I ain't scared of that either... i have nothing to live for anyway" she said as she crossed her arms and looked at Boone and Jack Scaredy cats...

ALl the while Florence had been sitting on the sand. She had managed to keep her writing book and a biro and was currently writing a new passage in her book.

The plane crashed, she wrote There were screams everywher. Parents crying for their children. Grandparents for eachother -
She stopped. She couldn't go on. She stood up and walked to the others.

Kate laughed "Can't belive you two are getting along..." she said quietly as she looked around, "Nice place you have Dave" she said smiling, even though dave was being a pain right now, he was probbally th only one she got along with.
