"I know various things and I have already began building my dominion, but what if we were to conquer all lands of this world and split them in three? That would be power enough and I doubt chaos could offer you any godly powers nor would..."

Garthag proposed as he hoped to create dissension amongst the Meiltha.

[Meldawen as we are in a bit of awkward situation here would it be possible to introduce your plot? :P]

He's not to be trusted. Very nearly bribed my dragon into betraying me, Kendath replied without looking at Evlyn.

She looked at Garthag spectulativly. All disdainfulness gone from her manner. She wanted so much to belive him to trust him to take what he offered, but Kendreth. She loved Kendreth, and he had said not to trust him. She stood between the two, confusion clearly written on her face.

Kendath noted the confusion written across her face and moved closer, squeezing her arm. Let him think we accept... We'll see more of his plan revealed.

"Very well," he said aloud, sheathing his falchion. "What do you know about the Crystals?"

((I'd be happy to, but (long story) I'm not actually allowed to be on the computer at all today, so it'll have to wait.))

"Nothing to be frank with you, but I do know that any object that holds any kind of power within can be used to a certain point instead of using it all against the gods and I believe that would be worth using..."

Garthag said mysteriously as he was clearly not willing to show his cards yet and was now basicly repeating his earlier point again that the crystal could be used for other purposes.

((awww poor Melda))
Allright....but....Kendreth...what if he can really help us....whet if he's right?...
An inner termoil seeemed to resolve itself, and a look of greed for the power he offered came over her features, she shook Kendreths hand off, and stepped closer to Garthag.

((I'm not going to the Masquerade, and I'm not guessing either, and I got so behind yesterday that I decided I'm posting here anyway :D This plot idea requires skipping to night, so I'm just gonna assume that Meiltha and the un-allied sleep same as Renegades do  ))

The sky darkened eventually to black, with stars like tiny lamps dotted throughout it, and later after the whole fortress was quiet Merrin was still tossing and turning.

The girl sat up, eyes red-rimmed and feverish, and thumped a pillow in frustration. "No!" she said emphatically, to nobody in particular. "I won't! I will not!"

You will, a voice echoed in her head. "They kidnapped me - they took me away from Wyvern -" she half-sobbed the latter excuse "- and now you want me to do what?"

Free them.

Merrin threw down the pillow and stalked out onto her balcony. "You'd better have a plan," she told the cold, white stars, and pulled on her boots. "You'd just better."

Minutes later she was tiptoeing down the halls, glancing down other passages. Several courtyards later, she found the one she needed. Creeping out onto the moonlit stones, she took a deep breath and tremblingly put a hand to the thin chain encircling Demon's neck. Nothing happened, as it had to Evlyn, and Merrin wondered if this had something to do with the 'pure heart' thing the druid had been going on about.

Her hands shaking slightly, she pulled the chain around until she found its tiny clasp; and undid it, before hastily stepping back, expecting the dragon to awake.

[I see it now... you're brilliant, Mel]

Both of Demon's vermilion eyes snapped open. His reaction was as though an explosion had been unleashed upon the world. The enchanted collar had acted like a dam, suppressing his titanic energy, stretching it taut on the brink of destruction.

And now he was free.

He threw his head backwards, releasing a silent paean to the skies above. KENDATH!

----------

Kendath whirled to face the glass doors leading to the balcony. "Demon," he breathed.

----------

Demon fell back on his forelegs and glared at Merrin. "You."

Garthag never slept well and this was no other case ecspecially when he had been surrounded by a group of strangers that did not make him feel any comfortable. Not to mention now two of them were gone as he slightly opened his eyes or at least one was gone and the other was at the balcony door. Garthag blinked his eyes quietly and pushed himself up, he knew that there was something going on and he hoped that his comrade wasn`t sound asleep.

Something is going on, something startled the two of them already and seems that you my friend are soon to be needed

Garthag called out to Kalma, who woke in the woods with his cold eyes staring into the night. Kalma slowly streched and snarled as he spread his wings. Garthag himself took few steps towards Kendath.

"Excuse me?"

He asked to the previous wods of Kendath.

((Awwww, thanks ;)))

Merrin tried to quell her fright at the dragon's completely unexpected and explosive return to consciousness. "Aye, me," was her shaky reply, and she moved warily across to Jemx.

Demon's scorching glare followed her every move. "What in all the hells are you doing this time, human?"

-------

Kendath didn't reply. He threw open the balcony doors and stepped outside, where he was met by a shocking sight. Wondering uneasily about Merrin and the power that apparently propelled her, he vaulted over the balcony to land in the courtyard.

"Listen," Merrin snapped, turning away from the still-sleeping Jemx. "If I had my way, you'd be stuck here for as long as that druid wants to keep you. But..." and here she paused, and her eyes traveled from Demon to his rider. She took a step towards him. "When...when the gods tell you to do something, you - you do it."

Garthag sighed and shook his head at the fact that he was being ignored, he stepped onto the balcony and cast a simple floating spell upon himself before floating down to the ground below the balcony. He gazed at the back of Kendath at first and then at Merrin, beginning to realise that the renegade was apparently far more unpredictable than any of them could have guessed.

"Who are you?" demanded Merrin, her gaze shifting from Kendath to this new arrival, and back again. "Who's this?"
