The old one broke the arrow shaft and pulled his shirt off. She then worked the arrow head to the surface and pulled it free.
Gold Dusk's face pailed and blood ran down his back as the old one pulled the arrow head free. He gasped, then bowed his head, his hair falling forward to hide his face. He squeezed Meriana's hand as if to say "Help me".

Galitaia placed a thick blanket on the floor of the cave along with one of the large pillow /mats she knelt on at home. She motioned for Meriana to sit.

"I know." Galitaia said quietly, they attacked right after you and Gold Dusk ran through. Noine got hurt though, they all ran."

The old one helped Gold Dusk to his feet and lead him over to the blanket Galitaia had layedout on the floor.

Gold Dusk lay dwon on the blanket. The old one placed a pillow under his head. He began shivereing even though the cave was worm. The old one placed another blanket over him and looked over at Meriana and Galitaia. "He's going to be ill for a couple of days, the arrow was poisened. I managed to get most of it out and I counteracted what I couldn't. Keep him warm and let him sleep as much as possible." Having said that she turned and headed back toward the medow.

Meriana nodded and thanked the old one. she looked at Gold Dusk. " are you feeling better? is there anything we can do?" she asked "Galitaia...we need to get him out of this cave.." Meriana was so worried, and nervous from what just happend she was shaking.

Gold Dusk didn't hear Meriana. The mixture the old one had given him did indead counter the opison, but it also made him drowsy, so he didn't answer.

Galitaia knelt dwon and puled Meriana close. "Shh young one, he will be fine, but we can't move him. Not now. He is too weak and if he got chilled there is no telling what would happen."

Sun Fire trotted into the cave, then stopped her eyes going wide when she saw her brother. "Gold Dusk ... " She wispered, then walked over and knelt beside him.

Meriana glared at the young centar. she looked at Galitaia and wispered. " thats the mean girl that hates me...i don't like her." Meriana cringed when she heard her voice eco loudly through the cave. she looked at sun fire. she knew she had heard her.

Sunfire looked back up at her. "We used to be close, until he came of age... " She trailed off As Gold Dusk stired.

"I have asked him... He ignores me." Sun Fire shruged. "I've gotten used to it I guess, so I poke fun at his expence so he'll at least say something to me. At least it's better than talking to his back."

Galitaia stood and smiled. "Well Lady's it seems Gold Dusk is in good hands. I'll be back with a few plates seeing as none of us had a very good dinner."

When the men came back from being scared out of their wits by the centars one of them nervously reported back to Mark. " uh..sir...we um...didn't get her.."
Mark growled..<i> what do you mean you didn't get her!</i> he quickly wrote down.
the nervous man said. " they scraed us away...the centars did sir."
Mark was in a rage by now. he motioned angerly for the man to get out.
the man ran out an shut the door on his way out.

Sun Fire's eyes lit up as Meriana said she would talk to Gold Dusk for her. "Would you really?" She asked looking at Meriana hopfully.
Gold Dusk's eyes fluttered open and he looked up at his sister. "Fire?" He asked grogally. She looked dwon at him. "Hey. How you feeling?" She asked brushing a damp strand of hir back off his forehead. He smiled a llittle and said, "I feel as if I've benn baking in the sun all day and the entire hurd has trampled me." Sun Fire looked over at Meriana and tried not to laugh.
