Satire folded her wings and fell in a steep spiral dive toward the ground. Ember coaxed an opening in the trees so Satire could land without risking damage to her wings. the hippogryph landed, shook one more time, then began trotting in the direction of the rest of the travelers.

The icy rain was not at all good, but Zero could manage. Rain was collecting on Zero's body, and he froze it and wiped it off. He chose to fl behind Meridian, since the much larger creature made Zero's flight easier an he could ride on the air current, a little disrupted by rain, behind the dragon. After a little while, they cleared out of the storm, and Zero was drenched and in a foul mood. He hated rain. Especially flying in the rain. Taking his thoughts away from flying and allowing habit to take over, he conjured a warm ring of fire around himself to dry his wings. Flying on wet wings had never been something Zero did if he could help it. Making sure his clothing didn't catch fire, he enveloped fire around his wings, making it look lik ehe had wings of fire, and followed behind the group. At least they were out of Ukarine.
He had wanted to go the the village and mass murder the people.

Airithnu continued to fly, flapping her wings harder and harder as pelts of rain continued to hit her forcefully. She breathed heavily as she began to grow tired to having to put twice the effort and only going half the distance that she should have, putting so much effort into flying.

Kith shivered as the cold rain beat down. Lighting flashed, briefly throwing the world below into a deep contrast. The lightning would be followed by a heart stopping clap of thunder, then followed darness and silence, save the poinding rain. Kith reveled in this wild pattern, enjoying its power. Rin laughed too. Looking to and fro, her eagle eyes seeing things Kith could not. Suddenly she swooped, leveling out a couple feet above a bird Kith knew to be Airithnu. Flying should be a bit easier now Rin said to Airithnu below. She was protecting the smaller eagle below from the furious rain that tried to drive her to the ground.

Meridian pumped his wings hard, trying to level out in the violent storm. Rain water began to coat his wings and freeze, making it hard for him to fly any longer.

I have to land, now.His mind voice was urgent, and strong, resounding in the others ears.

I can unfreeze them. Firis replied, her eyes scanning his icy wings.

No, you'd have to burn them to get all the ice off, and that would make this journey harder than it is already. Meridian began to bank steeply, heading for the ground.
