Shannon rolled her eyes and looked to the officer. "Look, buddy! Someone is after us and we'd really appreciate it if you just backed off!" She yelled to the officer and glared at him, angrily.

The officer had dealt with this sort of behavior before. He merely looked at Shannon with a raised eyebrow.
Going back to his notes, he said, "Sir, I need ID and insurance for the last time."

Writing down Mort's name, the officer then said, "Mr. Rainey...I need to see your driver's license please."

Shannon groaned and followed her arms, angrily. She was very grumpy at the moment. She had always hated police officers. She sighed deeply and leaned back into the chair. She didn't even hear the sound in the back.

Mort's body twitched and with a gasp of air, he turned his neck to look behind the car....nothing was there.
He swallowed and felt the burn from his dry throat. He looked worried sick, but he did answer the officer, "Look, I didn't have the-the chance to grab my wallet...I'm sorry."

Sighing heavily and eyeballing Mort, the cop grew agitated. "Fine then Mr. Rainey, wait here."
He turned on his big black boots and walked slowly back to the patrol car. Typing on the small keyboard in the car, he waited to see any information about Mort Rainey appear on his computer screen.

Call the officer back to the car and tell him to lock you up.
"SHUTUP!" Mort suddenly yelled outloud in the silent car.

Shannon gasped in surprise, when she heard Mort yell. She watched him closely and sighed. "Mort, what's wrong?" She asked him, softly. He had been acting so strange lately.

After the officer had entered "Mort Rainey" on the computer it read:
MORT RAINEY
MALE
AGE 33
COULD BE POSSIBLE MURDER SUSPECT
WARRANT TO REMAIN IN HOME
Looking back toward Mort's vechile, the officer stepped out of his squad car and began to approach the vechile again. His hand was on his firearm.

In the back of Mort's car, near the trunk, two small hands appeared as they gripped the seat.

Mort's eyes caught the hands in the back of his car. A knot twisted in his stomach and immediately cold sweat started to appear on his forehead. He held his breath, waved a hand infront of Shannon's face to keep quiet.
"AAAHHHH!" in a sudden attack yell, he had reached up, torn the visor off the car's interior and in a violent throw the visor went whizzing through the air, whacking the hands that were behind the seat.
He watched them shrink away in an eerie screech.

Shannon's eyes widened in fear, at what Mort was doing. She put her back up against the car door, so she wouldn't get in Mort's way. She remained silent, nonetheless since that's what he wanted her to do in the first place.
