Brendon lounged back in the chair he sat in and smiled at the group gathered in the small kitchen.
Shonnalen turned to look at Bret. "You are staying right?" She asked trying to bring him back to the present conversation.

Ace nooded at Trudy in acknowledgement, then spoke softly in reply to her question. "Everyone calls me Ace. " She hesitated, then added, "It's nice to meet you..."
She quietly refused more food. "No, thank you."
