Shade nodded at Kat, grinning. "I love them too. I have a thing for them...and they seem to trust me... a lot." He said. He never told anyone that before, beside his sister, because he knew it sounded weird. He smiled sheepishly as Layien nodded to Emmeline's comment. "Aye, that's that with me...but I love them nonetheless. And if I am with Shade, they respect me more than if I am on my own."

"Oh," said Kat, nodding, "Horses seem to trust me. Or anything like them. Other than that, I just love animals." No one knew about her strange, first experiants with a horse. She never told anyone, she thought they might think she was crazy.

That remark caused Layien to spit up her juice in laughter and she grabbed her napkin, wiping her mouth, still laughing slightly. "Agreed." She added after she cleaned up the mess she had made.

Glancing up to the front of the Great Hall, Aidan rolled his eyes. "Every year, the same thing.."

"Come on." Madison sighed, getting up and joining the students heading up. After a moment, she was joined by her twin.

"Gryffindor sixth years, over here behind me!" Professor Aveline Avery - Gryffindor Head of House - could clearly be heard calling over the clamor of students. "All other years, file up according to year!"
