((Lol thanx Pip...would that I could, but I have my own character to tend to...it would be kinda complicated to try to run two major characters at once...i'm just used to thinking from his perspective right now cuz i'm writing a POTC fanfic from his perspective...very fun, actually (no, i don't have issues)  ))

((right...sry, i've had practically no down-time today...tuesdays and thursdays are murder for me cuz i have a workout thing from 5:30-7:30, plus homework and dinner somewhere in there...anyway...))
Allowing himself a brief smile at Jack's reaction, Barbossa continued, "Now, I, of course, bein' mostly dead, won't suffer all that much. Sure, I can't eat or drink anythin', but I'm not mortal enough to need such things anyway. You, on the other hand...you get to find out just what I endured for ten years, and I'll be here to watch." He stood up and began to make his way to the exit. Stopping short, he turned his head to give the prisoners one last sneer. "Funny ol' world, innit, Jack?"

Blackbird frowned in concern. "Impossible," she said. "I've gone on every journey Jack has, and we haven't gone anywhere near Isla de Muerta for over four years. Whoever took the gold, it wasn't Jack."

Jack crawled over to the other side of the cell, closer to where Barbossa was walking. He clung onto one of the metal bars, supporting his weight. "So, ye are goin' to watch us 'ere rot for ten years?" His lips slid into a smirk, "With a man of your brilliance I would've thought more from you Barbossa.." He was asking for it, no doubt.

Devina groaned, and lashed out with her foot, catching Jack in the chest hard. "Just give it a rest! Silly comments dont help Sparrow! They are making things worse for us all! Just explain and buzz off..." she added at Barbossa.

Barbossa smiled dryly. "All in due time, Miss Jones," he said condescendingly. "Until then, I hope ye find your cells accomodating, because ye won't be leavin' them...Unless, of course, the ladies felt inclined to keep the crew company for the long journey..."

Jack let out a funny yelp as Devina whacked him in the chest with her foot. He winced his face then looked back up towards Barbossa, ignoring what Devina had just done to him. "Aye! Clever plan oh great Barbossa. Watch us rot 'ere for who knows how many years.." He raised a sharp eyebrow and said in that cocky tone of his, "That's probably why you never did do a good job at playin' Captain...savvy?"

Barbossa curled his lip into a sneer. "Say what ye might, Sparrow, but that doesn't change the fact that you're the one sitting in a cell, while I am the one captaining your ship. T'wouldn't seem yer in much of a position to talk." Turning to leave again, he stopped at where Bo'sun stood near the doorway. "Keep an eye on 'em." With that, he disappeared up the stairs.

Jack saw Barbossa sweep up the stairs. He muttered something under his breath then very slowly, flipped his back up against the metal bars. He sat there for what seemed to be more than an hour, before he did something incredibly stupid.
He suddenly sat up and quickly fingered his way to the pistol on Devina's belt. He grabbed it, then yanked the pistol upwards, made the barrel of the pistol face his chest and fired.

Devina flinched as she heard the sound of the pistol, instantly made a grab for Jack's hands. She banged his hand holding the pistol on the floor till he let it go. Then she looked at the wound tenetively "Suicide is not the answer" she muttered, her own hands drenched in his blood. She checked for breath, then slapped him across the face twice, and very hard. LUcky he was alive. Unlucky he was in a cell with Devina, its life's funny way...
