Stay calm Sam, stay calm Sam told herself. This wasn't only a very tiring conversation but also very painful for Dylan who probably would have had some expectations about how her father would be.
She felt completely unnecessary and unwanted, though she decided the best thing to do was to stick woith Dylan.

Jack quickly butted into Barret's last sentence, "Because, breakin' that certain item, would 'ave me dead in less than a week, savvy?"
He slowly started to finger his way to the compass again, but with the other hand, which had a strange cloth wrapped around the palm of it.

Dylan thought about it, what did she want him to say.
"i want you to tell me if you are going to accept me as your daughter, which i am, or not." Dylan said, looking Jack straight in the eye. that is exactly what she wanted him to do.
