she sang in a slightly lower key than what she was used to in choir. Nevertheless, she remained on key and her voice was strong enough that at times she had to purposely lower her volume, just to avoid having the sound blast back at them from the close walls. As she continued to sing, she felt more relaxed as she allowed herself to be drawn into the song and she manipulated the dynamics-raising her voice on some lines while lowering it on others. After she belted out the last line, she turned to Don. "Well?" she asked with a shrug.

Don listened intently to Kathryn's singing, getting lost in her voice. The whole while he watched her closely. He almost didn't realise she had stopped singing when she did.
"Oh, that was great. Better than any famus singer I've ever heard," Don whispered with a small smile. "You've such a beautiful voice."

John said skeptically, "Two distractions in the same day? Even the teachers aren't that thick. They're going to start to wonder what really is going on. Or if they do know what is going on, they're going to try to stop. No, we need a better plan than simple distractions."

Kathryn blushed deeply at his words. "Thanks." she said softly. Though I am sure, Mrs. Alford would probably tell me to stick to singing classical pieces." she said with a chuckle, remembering that she still needed to work on Pie Jesu for one of their performances-though she already knew the piece as she performed it at a recital but Mrs. Alford still managed to find fault with her performance. "You play the guitar right?" she asked after a moment. "Maybe we could try something together later?" she inquired.

"And.. for right now," Kira added in the moment after John finished, "We need a place to plan those tactics where anyone whose somebody can walk by and watch you like a hawk." Kira waited a moment and glanced at everyone's faces around the group before she spoke back up, "My dorm room is right down the hall, and it's a single."

Where was Jared? He wanted to know what was going on and why their search party for this book was expanded.

When Kira spoke up, Matt started to smile. "Aye! That sounds like a plan." And he winked at Kira because he knew that would freak her out.

John glared at Matt venomously. Who does he think he is? He maliciously thought. And the way he acted incredibly nice towards Kira, whoever she might be.

"You wanna a plan, Watson?" John hissed at him. "Here's one. Right now, it's around 12 o'clock. The professors have lunch and then it's the afternoon classes. All of the teachers have at least one afternoon class right after lunch. The lounge should be empty by then. We can break in through the window, find whatever the heck we're looking for, and you lot can knock your pretty selves out with it while I pretend you didn't exist. 'Course if you don't like that one, you can think of another one, if you can.." He was still glaring at Matt as if he could kill him with his glare.

Larain sighed.
"The thing about your plan," she directed this to John. "Is that I doudt the teachers will be on reagular scedule. Remember both the alarm and smoke detetors were set off. I don't it would be safe to go to the teachers lounge... just yet."

Then she turned to look at Kira.
"Would we all fit in your dorm room? I mean, the number of conspirators here has seemed to grown a bit."

"Brilliant Einstein." Matt replied to John. "But perhaps you didn't know that all dubious sources point to the Library as the place to find the book. Both Jared and Don said so" he grinned. "So unless you have another hallucination about the book being in the Teacher's Lounge, I suggest we should go to the Library. "

"Oh, that's just fantastic, Freud," John laughed mirthlessly. "Trusting a hallucination? That's bloody great. Why don't you say the Virgin Mary came from the heavens and told you to return that toasted cheese sandwich to her? Do you honestly think the teachers would leave a book that they know students shouldn't read in the library where all you stupid apes can put your filthy hands on?" He sighed and said venomously, "All right, let me guess this straight. Your friend, Jack or Jerry or whatever his stupid name is, told you that he had a hallucination of a book and was told to find it. And what, you lot follow him like blind sheep? Is he your new shepherd? I wonder if that sounds familiar."

He sighed once more and dictated much less maliciously, "Ok, if you lot are so keen on going into the library, it should definitely be the people who haven't gone there already. Nor should it be people that she knows who frequently get themselves in trouble or petty incidents. So who does that leave?"

Matt got up and walked straight over to John. "Listen wacko" he hissed. "Why don't you quit playing clever. Now because you stopped looking in your silly maths book and decided to join us makes you the same blind sheep we are because no one knows whether this bloody book is real."
Matt was poking with his finger in John's chest to stress each word and since he was a head taller, it almost seemed that Matt was threatening him.
"So if you just come here to boss around why don't you get the hell out of here. Her brother," Matt pointed to Larain. "makes a damned good sheppard and I ain't the fifth wheel here."

So far they had found nothing and the path that stretched before they still seemed endless. "Sure is a long way to wherever this leads..." Kathryn murmured as she stared ahead.

Kira silently scowled at Matt because of the wink, and then she suttled into the background to watch both of them slash back and forth at each other.

"I probably should break this up," she thought, thinking of all of the ways she would, hopefull, be able to warp their minds into following her will. However, she did not deem enough time for John to understand him, and she did not thoroughly enjoy having to brace herself for a sexual remark from Matt every time she opened her mouth.

"So, the best idea would be," she continued to think, smirking, "to let both of these cats just knock each other to a crisp, and then pounce on them."

Mary was already scowling from Matt's remark and seeing him now threatening John just made her all the madder "Get the fcuk off him" Mary pushed Matt away from John; interposeing herself between the two boys. "Do you want us to be caught? Idiots." This however was aimed more at Matt than John.
"Look, Matt's right we can't go to the staff room we should cheak the libary, but John right as well only those who are 'good' and who havn't been there should go." She stared at Matt venemousely before giveing John a warning look. "Will you shut up with the anti-religiouse comments yeah?"

John turned deadly cold. Anyone who knew him well would know this was a dangerous sign. While he snarled, snapped, insulted, hissed, or attacked verbally, all of them paled in comparison to when he was cold. At this point, he had little mercy left in himself.

"Do not touch me again," he said frigidly, creating an ice like tension around the room. His eyes seemed to turn coal black as he spoke. He thought venomously, Whoever this stupid idiot think he is, he's terribly wrong.

He turned to the rest of the party and said, "Mary, myself, and those who haven't been seen there will go to the library." He glanced around the dorm for a minute and to his great surprise, found a magnet there. He seized it and said, "One of you will put this in the librarian's computer. By the way, who brings a magnet to school? Anyway, once the magnet's in, she'll be too busy with her computer, which allows us to search for the book."

He turned to Matt and said, "While we're all bloody sheep, I'm the one who's coming with these ideas. What the hell have you done that is marginally helpful? Or is the little girl too worried about her periods to think of anything?"
