Dani felt Sirius suddenly stop in the middle of the dance floor, and stopped as well. "What'sa matter?" she asked, looking concerned.

James put his arm around Lilly's waist. It wasn't a secret, he fully enjoyed in this excusion to keep her so close. The smell of her parfume had somewhat magical influence on him and he felt like the sky is beneath him.
"Having fun?" he whispered on her ear.

Lily hadn't danced for years, and she hadn't ever been that good. But now, dancing with James it seemed irrelevant.

"Yes," she whispered back.

Sirius looked up at Dani, a curve playing on his.
"I just realised somthing" he replied sticking his hand in his pockets, his fingers wraping around his wand, just to make sure it was still there....

"They do," Remus agreed, smiling at Sirius. He squeezed Fiona's hand. He felt like he owned the world. They swept into the dance for what seemed like eternity, where the universe revolved around them and them only.

The music slowed. Panicking, Remus shot a look around. Everyone else was drawing their partners close and sharing secret smiles. His gaze darted to Fiona. Tentatively, he put his hand on her waist and pulled her to him....

Fiona smiled and let Remus pull her closer to him, she lifted her arms and wrapped them around his neck, she then moved to rest her head on his shoulder, everything seemed perfect, nothing could spoil her night. Quickly their steps fell into time with each other, as they slowly moved through the other couples.

Almost as quickly as the song had started it slowed to a finish, Fiona lifted her head and looked up at the enchanted ceiling, the stars twinkling in the midnight black sky, she moved away from him, and slipped her hand into his.
"Come on lets get some fresh air" she said quietly as the next song came on.

Dani looked down at Sirius's hand, then back up at him, eyeing him suspiciously and asked, "What?"

He glanced up at her and smiled.
"Your free to dance with anyone else, not just me, your free to go make out or whatever with any other guy, cause i never asked you to the ball" he replied, removing his hand from his pocket.
He pushed back a lock of hair from his face that had just fallen over his eyes; a gleam then formed, the one he got when he was about to cause mischeif.
He knelt down on one knee, and took Dani's hand.
"Danielle Smith, will you do me the pleasure in going to the ball with me?" he asked grinning.

Dani looked at him very confusedly, then rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Sirius, you're stupider than I thought. You should've known my answer to that from the moment I met you." She stared at his waiting eyes, then added, "Yes, you moron!"

Sirius grinned he stood up and took her into his arms, holding her closely.
"I'm not as stupid as you think" he whispered into her ear, he pulled away and handed her a small delecate white rose, that hadn't been there before.

Dani raised her eyebrows for a moment and took the rose. "So...that's what the wand was for, huh?" she asked, looking into his eyes.

Out in the gardens, they strolled side by side. Remus took Fiona's hand and led her to the fountain.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" he said, sitting down.

Sirius smiled gently at Dani.
"It's as beautiful as you" he replied, the next song had started and it was a fast one, he took Dani's hand.
"Let grab a drink" he said smiling.

Fiona smiled, her blue eyes sparkling in the moonlight, her white dress sleepily stirred by her walking and the slight breeze. She let Remus lead her over to the fountain, she sat down next to him, the lazily splashing from the water soothing her; it was like the perfect dream but only real.
She nodded in reply to his question, she was sat watching the water lap against the stone side, shivering slightly she pulled her shifony wrap over her shoulders, taking in what little warmth they gave her....

(First, please let me apologise with the utmost sincerity. I did not mean to powerplay your characters. I have received reprimands of the same sort in several of my posts, including from friends. I am, shall we say, a notorious powerplayer. I shall try not to in the future, and I shall also edit out snippets with powerplaying. If it is desired for me to completely abolish the plotline I created, it will be done.
