Kith watched the unfolding scene. He had heard of slaughtermines, though just in myth and legend. But by the way they were described, he hoped he did not meet any.

Sorcha woke up, hearing voices nearby. She yawned, blinked, and looked around. Crymson, Laphari, Madoc and Kith were standing nearby, talking about something. Madoc sounded worried. "What is it?" she pushed herself up.

((I won't be able to be on from tomorrow till next Saturday. If anyone wants to play me, that's great, or else Sorcha can just be tagging along behind everyone else. lol))

Granit gave a worried look to the group. The horse nickered a little, as if to try to get their attention. Then she reared and bolted to the other side of the camp.
ow, ow, somethings got me by the tale. It's pulling my hair. Get it off, get it off! The horse screamed telapathicaly to everyone, waking Rena.

"Whats going on?" Rena said, rubbing her eyes and getting up. "Whats wrong Granit?"
Somethings got my tale... ouch!
"I see nothing there though..."

Shiraso snorted, waking from his slumber and taking a moment to get to his feet, whinnying at the commotion as he shook the dirt off himself, his wings shedding a silvery dust. "What is going on? Can a pegasus not get proper sleep these days without being disturbed?" He tossed his head slightly as though to add to his statement, though his attention soon turned to Granit, though he gave a tilt of his head in a questioning manner.

Laphari glanced towards Crymson with furrowed brows. "Is it possible what Madoc says is true? What is this that you and your ..... friend have led us into if it is so?"

Mirima got up suddenly, the horse's distress obvious. "Rena...?" Granit was growing more upset by the moment, bucking and running. Mirima waited until he passed her to grab his mane and leap onto his back. Turning around while still seated, she took his tail in her hand and checked it for creatures. It seemed a little heavier than it should be, but by the time she reached the tip, nothing was there.

Immediately Granit calmed, still pawing the ground unhappily. Mirima leapt off and stroked his neck kindly, then looked at the rest of the group. "There was something there, I am sure of it. Whatever it was, I could feel-I don't know how-that it wanted to harm me. I do not doubt it will return with friends."

Kith sighed. He wondered what was happening, but did not pay much attention to it. It was probably just a spider, os some creature of that sort.

Madoc grabbed the seemingly invisible Slaughtermole and picks it up, the mole is so well camoflauged with the surroundings that it would look like part of the scenery. "I KNEW IT!!" he snaps the moles neck, then throws the body down. "The way is not clear crymson..."

"You may fly that way,"She points to the deep gorge. "Whenever you feel like it. I for one will stay here. Dawnfire needs rest and so do I. I hope all of you make it across safely with out me." She curls up by the wall and closes her eyes.

Laphari sighed and shook her head, muttering to herself and Shiraso, then speaking aloud. "Things like this will divide us... it happens all too often and repeats itself through history. I myself shall remain, and if any of us are reluctant to face this together, why attempt to fulfill this mission in the first place? I am not afraid of standing up to the challenge... are the rest of you?" She looked pointedly at Madoc, Tharox, then Kith, as she spoke her words, almost as though she were singling them out as weak points in their group.

Shiraso shook his mane vigorously then bobbed his head in an enthusiastic manner. "Finally, milady, I think you are indeed beginning to learn..." "Oh shush..." She murmured in return, her arms folded in front of her while a smirk hid beneath the silken scarf.

Tharox answered the look with a cold one of his own just as a warning of somesort as she was first looking at her.

"Challenges are not a concern, living and gaining on the other hand are to me..."

Tharox smiled.

Kith glared back. He wasn't about to leave anybody. He wasn't going to abondon people, not when he knew what it was like to be alone and rejected. "Do you doubt my loyalty?" he asked.

"Everyone`s loyalty is to be doubted, if there ever was such a thing as true loyalty to anything or anyone..."

Tharox said with a laugh.

Laphari's eyes did not falter as she gazed steadily at Tharox. "Aye, that I do not doubt, sir, but safety is in numbers, and either way, you can gain nothing by splitting the group... You doubt loyalty because you lack it..."

She turned her glance towards Kith calmly, the icy blue gaze taking on a less harsh look. "Nay, I doubt not your loyalty, but I have noticed your hesitation... You would rather go untouched, unassisted, and that could cause one to go their own way, I should know... Do not take my words as an offence, it is merely an observation."

Dawnfire watched Laphari. Why do you act that way? You show so much loyalty and strength, yet...you do not know Crymson nor any of the others. Your actions confuse me. He said to her telepathically.

Kith stared at Laphari, though not in anger. "I loner I may be" Kith said slowly. "But I will never abandon anybody when they are in need. Never. "

"Because," Laphari answered Dawnfire, "I have been called to a task, and given a chance to redeem my idle years... I have lived long enough to know who to trust and who not to trust as well as who to watch out for... but if a group such as this, requiring order and loyalty, falls apart due to doubt or lack of trust all together, then I would not go without having a say in the matter."

Shiraso tilted his head towards his mistress, as though he too were interested in listening, but no doubt, he was taking note of each word, possibly for further criticism...

"I am merely loyal to my beliefs..."

(*cuts it short because of suddenly feeling sick* >< Ugh.... )
