Shannon swallowed hard and stared at Mort. Even though she had heard the officer. "Y-Yes, Sir..." She wrapped her arms around herself and felt silent tears still sliding down her face. She sniffled a bit and painfully looked away from Mort.

Benny stumbled forward and clapped handcuffs on Mort's wrists. "Get his feet as well, Jeffery," Benny commanded.

Jefferey reached behind his back and brought out the silver handcuffs. He bent down and clapped them on both of Mort's ankles. "Come on, Benny....let's get him into the car."

Both Benny and Jeffery lifted Mort's heavy body into a squad car and shut the door.

Shannon watched as the two officers put Mort into the back of the police car. She bit her lip hard and tried to think of something to do. She didn't really want to go to jail or court. She especially didn't want Mort to go to jail.
She glared at them and saw that their backs were turned to her. She looked around and then saw Mort's gun on the ground. She quickly picked it up and cocked it.
"PUT YOUR HANDS UP!" She screamed at them.

Benny and Jeffery turned around quickly to find Shannon pointing a gun at them. They threw their hands up immediately.

Shannon felt tears stinging her eyes, angrily. "JUST BECAUSE I'M A GIRL, YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN JUST EASILY TAKE ME TO THE POLICE STATION?!" She screamed again and kept her finger over the trigger. "I WANT YOU TO LET MY FRIEND GO OR I'LL SHOOT YOU! I SWEAR TO GOD!" She screamed louder and swallowed hard. Her hands were shaking violently, since she was on the verge of tears.

"All right....all right...just don't shoot. I'll let him out," Benny said nervously as he turned to open the car door.

Jeffery turned to help Benny but then suddenly pulled his gun from his belt and shot Shannon in the leg. "DROP THE GUN! DROP THE GUN NOW!" Jeffery shouted at Shannon as he walked toward her with his gun aimed at her head.

Shannon screamed in pain and let her hand instantly go to her leg wound. She kept her other hand on the gun and then shot Jeffrey in the arm that was holding the gun. "LET HIM GO!" She yelled and felt tears of pain sliding down her cheeks.

"AWwwwwwwww!" Jeffery screamed as he dropped the gun at his feet. He grabbed a hold of his arm and cringed. He leaned against the patrol car and groaned.

Benny quickly took action and grabbed the fallen gun. He aimed and shot Shannon in the shoulder. "IF YOU DON'T DROP YOUR WEAPON, I'LL HAVE TO CONTINUE FIRING! DROP IT! DROP IT!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.

Shannon took deep breaths and swallowed hard. She shot Benny two times in the side and then ran toward the two officers. She pushed them both out of the way and grabbed ahold of Mort, even though she was in pain.
She quickly drug him and all of his weight over the their car. She shot at the officers a few more times and then threw Mort in the back seat. She ran to the driver's side and then shut the door behind her.
She put on her seatbelt and then sped off.

Benny hunched over and then fell to onto the pavement. "Call for medical, Jeffery..." were Benny's last words before he laid motionless on the ground.

Jeffery watched helplessly as Shannon shot at his friend and then dragged Mort from the squad car.
When Shannon shot at them again, Jeffery laid down and took cover as best he could. Fortunately he was not hit.
As Shannon sped off, Jeffery memorized the license plate and then called over his radio. "OFFICER DOWN....OFFICER DOWN...CODE 7! Suspect escaped....white female....driving a forest green jeep...license MCN8L93."

Mort let out a silent groan, but he was still unconscious. His body was sprawled over the front passengers seat.
