Lucy rested her head on her father's shoulder as they began to walk toward the building.
But soon she lifted it and looked toward all the cameras and reporters. "Who are they daddy? What are they doing to Edward?"
Squinting her eyes in the distance, she tried her best to see him.....she could only imagine how he was feeling at the moment. She had been with him long enough to know that he was nervous in front of alot people. "Mommy, make them stop."

Katherine slowly got out of the car and just ignored everything that was happening around her. She sighed deeply and wrapped her arms around herself. She walked after Timothy, Lucy and the doctors.

Timothy started pushing his way into the crowd, and ignored the video cameras that were pointed into their faces.
He wrapped another arm around Lucy and said, "Don't worry about them Lucy..."
Edward started to get dizzy, seeing the screaming people. They looked angry, dead angry, like a colony of bees disturbed from their hive.
"Go to the entrance anyway!" The Doctor instructed the medics, "I don't give a toss if we actually do run one of them over!"
In a flash, they were at the entrance. A few policemen came into the scene and paved a way for them to get past the screaming, fuming, and pushing crowd.
A girl barged out from the protestors. She had curly, frizzy brown hair, unforgiving grey eyes, and a sharp red mouth. Her voice was a bit lazy, but also solemn, serious, and darkly humorous, like a church organ. She was red-faced and her voice was raspy from screaming.
"It's a deformation of life!" The girl shouted in Edward's face, "And it must be put to death. Now!"
"You idiot." The doctor said, shoving her aside, forcefully, "Edward is a scientific breakthrough!"
They then finally got into the N.A.S.A building and the doors were closed shut. It was a cool contrast from the hot outdoors and the noisy protestors. Everything looked polished and white, like a wedding cake.

Lucy held on tighter to her father's neck as they passed through the violent crowd. All the shouts, voices, and screams frightened Lucy, but not as much as the furious woman who pushed her way through the crowd. Her dark brown eyes fixed themselves on her, as she hid behind her father's head, until they stepped into the building.
Once inside, she felt much more safe, but very uncertain of anything here.....it was very strange. "Where are we mommy?"

Katherine slowly looked up to Lucy and sighed deeply. "We're in a place that might just save Edward's life." She said softly and then looked back down to her feet again.

An hour later the family of three were escorted to a strange looking floor window in the N.A.S.A facility.
"Oh my God..." Timothy said staring down into the bottom floor that it revealed, "Katherine what did we sign?"
Edward was laying one his back, squinting his eyes from the blazing, smoldering light shining down on him. His arms were bolted to the operation table, as were his legs, and a sort of metal collar was locked tightly around his neck. Sharp, pricking needles were pushed into his face, making his skin go numb. A small table of knives, needles, scissors, bottles, and hooks was next to him. The tools glinted at him, menacingly.
He was utterly terrified.
It was bad enough that a group of surgeons were poking and prodding him, but also a looming dome-shaped window was above him. Edward's surgery was going to be watched by students at the local medical school.
Edward was almost frantic, and he closed his eyes to block out the scary pins, the razor knives, the blinding light, and the clear needles. His mind was the only escape from the monstrous ordeal. His heart was ticking feverishly, now.
Above the surgery, in the glass window—the medical students gasped and gawked at the mechanical man below, while scribbling down notes.
The lecture for the surgeons ended, the medical students started clapping, and the surgeons came around Edward. They were wearing white masks, rubber gloves, and sickly pale blue clothes.
"Now don't you worry, Edward." The Doctor said, with a devilish, crazy smirk on his wrinkled face. "You're in good hands."
"Hands?" Edward said quietly back to the Doctor.
"Yes, hands..." he replied joining a few laughs from the surgeons.

Lucy peered through the window with her forehead pressed against it. The site of Edward surrounded by all the strange instruments, bright lights, and doctors frightened her. "What are they doing to him? Daddy! Mommy! What are they doing? Are they hurting him?" Lucy said in a raised voice.
She could sense that Edward was scared. She had learned the expressions on his face clearly, from him living with them for only a short period of time. "Edward! Edward!" Lucy yelled while knocking on the window trying to get his attention. She needed for him to look at her....she needed to be near him.....she wanted to take him out of here.

Katherine stared at Edward with tears in her eyes. She held onto the railing that was beside her and suddenly felt her stomach get sick. She quickly looked away from him and covered her mouth with her hand, while closing her eyes. She needed to calm down.

Timothy pulled his daughter away from the window. "Sssh...settle down..that's enough!"
The medical students' lifted their eyes from their papers and eyed the girl and the father with rude looks, although, the study below locked their eyes back onto what was happening.
Below, Edward heard the knocks above and a faint small voice of one so familiar to him. His little flower? He looked up, only to find no one their anymore.
The Doctor reached to the back of Edward's arm, and pricked something. Edward panicked for a moment, but as he breathed more frantically, he grew more and more tired. He felt like he had spun around in a circle too long, and now he was drunkenly dizzy. He eventually shut his eyes and felt the world slip into a liquorice black dream.

Seeing her mother's reaction to Edward's helpless state, Lucy panicked all the more. There was definitely something wrong and she could sense it.
Pushing her father away angrily, she raised her voice to a shriek, "NO! Daddy! They're hurting him! Stop them! Stop them!" She began to sob and shake as the tears streamed down her face like a running fountain, "EDWARD! EDWARD!" Her small hand reached toward the window that was no longer within her grasp.

Katherine didn't know what to do anymore with herself. She bit her lower lip hard and closed her eyes, while taking deep breaths slowly. Seeing Edward that way just made her sick to the stomach. Her mother would've never allowed this to happen. But, Edward was sick and he needed urgent care. Care that only N.A.S.A. could give him.

(Guys, I have to give you two options.
1. End the story in just a few more posts. Good Ending.
2. Continue with the story, even though some might not like where it will be going, but we keep RPing a whole new chapter.)
