Shannon was shaking still, but still continued to drive as fast as she could. She dodged all of the cars that were in her way without a problem and then heard Mort groan. She sniffled a little and wiped some of her tears away. She was in great pain and she wished that it would just go away. But, she couldn't worry about that at the moment. She needed to get Mort and herself away from the police. She needed to switch cars. "Mort?" She said, with a shaky, tear-jerking voice.

Medical staff had arrived on the scene where Jeffery and Benny were. They loaded both men into two separate ambulances.

Shannon didn't hear Mort reply, so she just continued on with her driving. She was scared to death at what would happen if she and Mort got caught. She had shot two police officers... that could never end well. She choked back tears and drove as fast as she could.

Before Shannon knew what was happening, red and blue lights appeared in her rearview mirror. Sirens soon were heard and traffic was pulling over on the side of the road.
The three squad cars were now directly behind her.

Charlize gasped, when she saw the police lights. She looked around and then floored the gas petal. She then turned off onto a main street, by getting off the highway. She quickly made a right turn and tried to find a place to hide.

One squad car was still able to swerve off the highway and onto the main road. He followed close behind.

The other two squad cars sped down the highway looking for the next exit.

One thing Shannon did not realize....was that even though she wanted to hide....she couldn't because a police helicopter was hovering above her.

Shannon looked around the streets franctically and she bit her lip. She knew what she was going to do, but she needed Mort to wake up. "MORT! GET UP, PLEASE!" She yelled and turned the radio on really loud.

Shannon groaned and continued driving on. She really needed him to get up, or else they would both be dead meat. "Come on, Mort! I have an idea! I need you to get up!" She yelled again to him and gently reached over and patted him on his back, while still looking at how her driving was.

The police car behind Shannon was on her butt. The sirens grew louder and louder.

Across the street, ahead of Shannon, the other two squad cars appeared around the corner. The tires were squeeling and burning against the pavement.

The helicopter was right above Mort's car. The thundering blades could be heard thumping away.
