"BECKETT!" Will and Elizabeth shouted at the same time. Will then said, "He has the heart? Why that bloody...." he then trailed off into his own thoughts. Elizabeth then said angrily, "Yes, we know him well..."

"Motivated?" Davey Jones' head twitched to the side and he made a poppin sound with his bottom lip.
"Ye want ta be motivated?" Another thump was heard, and another, until the slimey, water ridden face stared back into Beckett's.
"Then ye will be'a!" the face of Davey Jones' wrinkled in anger and digust and in a swift movement, his claw hand escaped from underneath part of his cloak, spewing water everywhere and finally clamping itself around Beckett's neck.
He slowly lifted the man off the ground with a tightening grip.
(Potr, when do ye want to head back to Jack and Bootstrap?)

The briefest hint of fear flashed in Beckett's eyes before it was replaced by a facade of stoic indifference. "Mr. Mercer, if you would please show Mr. Jones our bargain," he said as he was lifted from the ground.
Mercer sneered and pulled out his dagger, then opened the chest to reveal Jones' heart. He raised an eyebrow to make his point clear and stood there ready to strike.
"As you can see, Mr. Jones, my associate does not like it when people threaten me or do not do as I say. In fact, he can be quite dangerous if so inclined. And we wouldn't want that, now would we, Mr. Jones?"

Tia didn't seem to notice their acknowledgement, pursing her lips slightly into a frown. "If dis Beck-ett take de heart for himself..." her voice trailed off as she closed her eyes in concentration. "Sometin' is wrong," she said abruptly, half to herself. "Jones is nae on him ship, nor nowhere on de sea. An' if he is nae on the sea..."

"Then he's on land!" Will shouted outloud. "Where is Beckett now? Is he in Port Royal?" he rambled on and on....too many questions in such a short period of time.

Elizabeth's eyes grew wide. She bit her finger as she tried to concentrate on a way to arrive at Port Royal.....at least a way that was fast enough.

Davey Jones' head twitched to the side. It was so, Mercer was ready to strike his heart. Beckett had told no lie. Unwillingly his crab hand relaxed its harsh grip around the man's neck.
The Captain of the sea looked at the heart, and listened to it's steady sounding beats. He remembered the pain it had caused him, why he ripped it out of his chest. But it seemed that now, even without the heart, nothing took away the empty pain that was slowly tearing his soul apart.
The cold blue eyes stared at the daggar, then to Mercer, then to the fleshy heart.
(<Insert Davey Jones' music box music here> Ha ha!)

((Yes, I am  Sorry 'bout the delay; I've been really busy lately. I do have one quick question, though (concerning where we'll be taking this): I am correct in remembering that some of the people involved here do not want even minor spoilers for AWE, yes?))
Tia looked up at the group. "Jones can nae be on land of him own volition for nearly ten years," she explained. "De only way to be on land righ' now would be if he been summoned."

Will stared at the floor and said softly, "Beckett has summoned Davey Jones...he has the heart...." His eyes twitched back and forth in thought.
