Winter watched the pup, and whimpered in compassion. But she was distracted by the gathering of wolves. Obviously, there were enough to form a strong pack but they seemed to be lost in confusion. She looked at the males wondering if this would end in democracy or violence. In the wolf world, females had very little power leadership wise unless they were selected by the alpha male as alpha female or beta.

He approached Larka with caution and his head low in reverance.Nightbane held a confusion and curiousity within his grey stormy eyes. He seemed to say to her Hello,what might your name be?I am Nightbane... He wanted to intrest comfort and maybe if possible a friendly relation with the wolf.

Even I am not sure little one She sighed. She had been racking her brain for a suting name to give the pup. She knew a name had to have meaning, and it was stupid to pick one out of the blue.

The pup sighed and layed down in the ground, waiting to find out what was happening.

Nightstorm still paced the clearing. This group of wolves would make a good pack, but competition for alpha male would be fierce.

Quicksilver's eyes brightened. She had decided upon a name. LIttle one, I have a name for you She smiled. Shadowheart. I had a friend once by that name, but it suits you much more than it did him. Bear it well. She nuzzled him sofly and then licked his face.

The pup smiled. Shadowheart...I like it.... He smiled and then fell asleep.

Winter sighed as she looked at them. They were becoming a pathetic bunch. Unwilling to make decisions. Obviously, some were not accustomed to the loner's way of life. It was to late to find suitable shelter. The caves were much higher on the foothills and a blizzard would be setting in soon. With a small yip to get everyone's attention, she padded to underneath a rather large bush. Her paws furiously began to dig at the snow creating a makeshift cave for herself, the artic wolf in her rising forth.
These will keep us warm. Especially if we all make one very close to each others. Our body heat will warm them. she explained as she finished the temporary den. She moved several inches away and began another, making sure it wasn't close enough to destroy hers.
