Captain Dean Banks walked up onto the deck, glad things were running smoothly due to her Quatermaster. She looked over to where the woman, who had hired her, stood. Walking over she nodded her head in a sort of manly manner, something she was not. "Hello Miss Devour, would you rather be inside staying warm?" She asked of the woman.

Scarlett jumped when she heard someone behind her. She turned her head to see it was just the captain.
"Oh, no, it's okay. I'd rather watch the casting off. One last look toward home before the journey... just in case I may never see it again," she said with a smile...

Bringing her search for the navigator to a brief holt, Galilee turned in a stern about-face and walked directly to her Captain. Then she noticed the woman who had hired them, and all of her shiness came at once.

"Captain Banks," said Galilee almost clumsily, but still managing to give an aire of importance, "May I inquire as to how you think things are going?"

Galilee's dark eyes were focused on her boots so that the Devour woman couldn't look her in the eye or examine her in any way.

Dean gave a quick smile to Scarlett before turning to Galilee. "Things are going quite well, I am happy to say. I am quite pleased with your work as always." She gave her Quartermaster a pat on the back. "Continue on." She said.

Carieana came to her rescue, if she needed rescuing. She walked up to the group of them, "Galilee. I have been looking al over for you. Here I'll show you the course." she said leading her away from the group.

Galilee grinned at Carieana, very glad to have her as a friend. It was practically required that navigators and quartermasters be friends since their jobs required them to work so close.

"Thanks there, mate," she said. "Now how 'bout that course?"

Cari smiled back. "Give me a sec and I'll be right back with the map." she took off at a run. Wich she was able to do, because of her years on rocking ships. She was back in a second with a map folded up in her right hand.

"Well?" said Galilee, jesturing for Cari to open the map and show her. "Would you rather open her or my quarters? It doesn't really matter."

Galilee was really just looking for an excuse to go back inside. The cold didn't pose her a single problem, but the new people did. The more important members of the crew were the same, and Galilee didn't mind them. It was the new deckhands that hand her in a knot.

Scarlett watched the crew with intrest. She could tell the quartermaster was a little shy because she seemed too eager to get inside. With a smile, she turned back to watch the port that got smaller and smaller...

Galilee grinned and started to lead the way to her quarters, which was rather like an office instead of where anyone would live.

On her way, Galilee cut a glance at Scarlett. All Galilee had intended was to take a quick look and judge her up like she did everyone who stepped foot on the ship.

Unfortunately, anyone who finds themselves under Galilee's scrutiny for a second knows it. Her dark eyes were quite unnerving and you could tell she was judging.

Scarlett felt eyes on her, and turned to see the quartermaster looking at her. The unnerving dark eyes sent a shiver up her spine. That, or it was a sudden gust of cold wind. She quickly looked back away, and hugged her petticoats and shaw closer around her...

Katria looked down at the wolf, panting beside her and stroked her grey mane, smiling. These two animals were about the only things reminded her of her old home and she loved them both. She was glad the Captain allowed her to take them along the vogage.
