Edward was going a bit overboard with Luther. "Let's take a break and cool off a little." He said as he dismounted. Edward started to walk to the barn, once he got to Luther's stall he unsaddle him and rubbed him down. He then took Luther to the washracks.

The Quiet A-U Gentlewomen

"Stretch up Hannah!" Katy sat on the rail, watching the young girl ride. "Good, stay up in two-point until your horse's back feet land. You don't want to sit on the jump." Katy watched as Hurley jumped over the low verticals.
"That's all we have time for, I have to go exercise some horses. Good job today Hannah!" Katy smiled. She helped untack Hurley and went to check a bulletin board for which horses needed exercise.
"Nixon, Jake, and Tucker." Katy read the horses' names. She went to the main barn and saw Nixon, a big chestnut Warmblood eating in his stall.
"Hey Buddy," She said, letting herself in and slipping his leather halter over his nose. She led him out and groomed and tacked him up.

Tyler led his steed, named Shadow, out to be groomed and get him ready to ride.

Sarah's head came up with a look that said "Who, me?" Being there was no one else in the tack room, she assumed it was her the girl was talking to. "Hi, Louy. I'm Sarah, and yes, I've not been here long. I just moved here a few weeks ago." She busied herself with the saddle soap for a moment more."How long have you been here?"

"Three months at most," she replied.
"So, which horse or horses are yours?"

"The Chestnut Arabian in stall 5... he's the only one I have. That was really neat what you did with your horse earlier. I've not seen a lot of people that train that way. Mia, my horse, was sorta trained that way, but when I got him he was alreayd partially trained, but the wrong way. That's the only way I found that worked with him, though I don't work quite the same as that. Where did you learn that?"

"I learned it from my mother. She was a skilled western trainer. One of the horses she trained ended up being a state championship winner. But that was four years ago," Louy said. "I prefur that style from others, it gives a horse more freedom, yet not so much that they get out of control, if you know what I mean."

Katy was busy trotting Nixon in the equidome when Lisa walked over.
"Katy, wow he looks good." Lisa looked sidetracked. "Oh well anyway, there was that mare in the main barn. She bowed a tendon but is fully recovered. Can you ride her too please? And she's up for sale if you know anyone who is interested in buying a horse." Lisa nodded and walked away.
Katy sighed. "Well Nixon, I'm glad I rode Gracie today when I had the chance. Looks like I'm booked for the rest of the day!" She petted him and brought him to a walk.
She cantered both directions and brought him in to get out Jake. He was a big grey Thoroughbred.
A stablehand took Nixon back to his stall while Katy got out Jake and groomed and tacked him up. She led him to the equidome.

"Yes, I agree. When I got Mia, he was a rescue case and was terrified of everything, and very mean. It was only through that way, and not forcing him, that I got his trust, then was able to train him. Now he's a big spoiled baby." She laughed.

After she had ridden Jake, she took out Tucker and longed him. She passed him to a stablehand and walked over to the main barn. She looked at a clipboard on the wall. It had each horse's special feed needs. She flipped through until she saw Starlight's name, to see which stall she was in. It said stall 17. Katy walked over to it and saw a bay mare with a star on her forehead and a neatly pulled mane. She pricked her ears curiously and stood still.
"Hey pretty girl," Katy said. She smiled. Starlight looked very sweet. Any girl or boy would be lucky to have her. She took a leather halter off the stall and unlatched the door. She pushed it open and walked in. Starlight looked at Katy's hand, hoping for a treat.
"No treats. Well I might still have a peppermint in my pocket," Katy looked in the pocket of her tan breeches. A packaged peppermint was unopened. She took it out and slipped it out of the plastic wrap. "Here." She said. Starlight lipped up the treat. She chewed it slowly and lifted her top lip.
"Was that good?" Kathryn laughed and stroked the mare's neck.

After Tyler had gotten Shadow ready, he mounted his steed and went onto an open trail. He smiled as they gallop freely, no limits.

"Vertical!" called Julia, asking Florien for the canter. She brought him around the turn and over the jump, staying centered, dispite the lack of saddle. That was one good thing about being trained as a centered rider. She had see many people go over the jump without there horse due to the fact they could stay centered. She had done it herself once or twice.

Katy groomed Starlight and tacked her up. She went to the warmup arena, mounted, and tracked right at the walk. After several laps, she picked up the trot.

Julia slow Florien to a trot and started putting in circles at the end of the ring.

After cantering, Katy brought Starlight down to a walk. A small vertical was set. She circled and trotted towards it. Without hesitation, Starlight jumped and cleared it easily.
"Good girl," Katy said, stroking the mare's neck.

She cooled her off and untacked her and groomed her.

Tyler, after his ride, brought Shadow back and unmounted him.

"Good ride, mellon." He said, slipping into his other favorite language, Tolkien's elvish.
