Scott grinned, but hid it. He liked having Ted as a boss, even if he didn't like his hair. He looked around and he knew that he had a job to do and that he had to do it right. He took in a deep breathe and let it out slowly, waiting for the driver in front of them to hurry up.

Almost laughing from the pure joy of riding in the car, Logan ran his hand along the smooth seats. "So, the lady was driving home, ran off the road, and was shot?" He questioned, wanting to make sure he had the facts straight. He mentally urged the driver to go faster while dreaming of flying over the traffic in a futuristic hybrid carplane.

"Precisely," Red assured Logan. "Yes!" he soon yelled out, "Oh wait, no. That's our exit." The slow car had turned down the same road Ted turned down. "Let us hope he is not going to the crime scene as well."

Resting his chin on his hand, Logan stared at the countryside while they sat in silence. He came to as he realized they were turning in behind the slow car into a long drive. "Are we here?" He asked Ted.

"Yes, we are, thankfully. I don't know how much more of the red-flag driver I could handle," Ted told Logan, parked the car, and jumped out. Walking down the hill, Ted followed the tire marks to the crime scene. The car was still there, but Clara Melvin had already been taken to the medical examiner. Ted placed his thumbs in his pocket and knelt down near the tree for a closer look.

A tall, brown-haired man was pacing as the BMW pulled up to the crime scene. He hurried down the steps as three men got out of the car, and went up to the driver. "Are you the detectives?" Eric Roxford asked, running a hand down the side of his hair.

"That answer depends on if you are or are not trying to find some way to hurt us and/or injure us in any way. You do have a gun on you. Do you?" Ted Elgeston questioned the man and looked down at his pocket to make sure there wasn't anything bulging out.

"No, of course not." Eric answered, a touch of impatience in his voice. "I'm just trying to find out what I'm doing here. The police told me to wait, but they didn't say why. I'm not a suspect, am I?"

"Did you do anything suspicious?" Ted asked, quite enjoying the sarcastic interrigation.

"Not unless you consider me eating dinner with my wife suspicious." Eric answered. He suffed his hands in his pockets. "I honestly don't know why I'm here."

"I could find ways to make that suspicious," Ted joked, "Many ways, but I will be nice because you seem a bit lost, confused, and irritated. Did you know Clara Melvin?"
