"I...I don't think so" answered claire, her head strongly hurting. "oh my God, this is unbelievable" she said. lots of people on the beach were still screaming and crying, someone was running from one person to another, looking for relatives, friends.

Jack ran over to another woman who with a weak voice called for help. "It's okay.." he said to comfort her. "I'm a doctor. Can you stand?" Suddenly Jack noticed a piece of metal, flying through the air, into the engine. He just managed to shout: "Watch it!" Before his voice was drowned by the eardeafening noise of an explosion. Jack threw him over the injured woman, trying to protect her from metal and other pieces of wreckage flying through the air.

Charlie shook his head at the scene of all these people out there on the beach. "Yes..." he began. He couldn't believe it either...the first moment, he was at a plane, leaving Sydney and it the other moment he found himself on an island in the middle of nowhere. He turned to Claire again and he could tell she was shocked by this. There was silence. "Hy...I'm Charlie..." he said after a while.

Amanda could barely see a man kneeling over her, asking her if she could stand. The next moment, she heard a loud noise from the plane, then an explosion. The man threw himself over her. Metal flew through the air and she closed her eyes again. Almost instinctively, she put her hands over her stomach. After a time, the explosion was over. All that was heard where the confused screams of some passengers. "What...what happened?" she asked, her voice trembling. She felt tears in her eyes, but quickly wiped them away. She had learned that emotions only cause trouble, and she wouldn't show this weakness to anyone.

"Hy..I'm Charlie.."the guy said after a moment of silence. "I'm Claire.."she started answering, when a big explosion interrupted her. pieces of metal and the wreckage of the plane flew in the air. claire protected her head with her arms. "are you alright?" she asked to charlie, when the noise of the explosion faded.

"We crashed.." was all what Jack was able to tell her. "Are you hurt?" Then without saying another word he picked her up with ease and carried her to the place where some of the survivors were gathered. He tried to comfort them by saying he was a doctor and that he could help the injured but then he quickly ran off again. There wasn't much time. More people had to be brought to safety. Then he noticed a man at the beach who was seemingly looking through the pockets of corpses in the sand. Astound as he was Jack stopped in his tracks and stared at the man. But screams of other people brought him back to reality and quickly he started to bring the remaining survivors to a place of safety.

Charlie nodded after a time. "Yes..." he answered. "You?" He looked back to the beach, where the doctor was still trying to help as many people as possible. He shook his head. "Wow...this...this doesn't look good..." he said.

Amanda winched as Jack picked her up, carrying her to the others. Her whole body was acing. She laid down by a tree again, near several other survivors (Charlie and Claire). The shock inside of her wore off and she could feel the sharp pain running down her side now. She whimpered, but then tried ignoring it, she didn't want to cause too much attention to other people. There were more important things now to worry about. But Amanda couldn't think about these things right now. Although she didn't want, she was too tired and exhausted, she closed her eyes and nearly passed out again.

"I'm okay" claire said. the man she saw running through the beach only a few minutes before was carrying now a girl next to them. she seemed to be really in pain, but more than anything else, she was pregnant too. "oh my God" she said, pointing her to charlie "that girl is pregnant too..."

Charlie shook his head, quite concerned. He slowly came over to the girl and carefully shook her. "Hey...are you okay?" he asked. Amanda opened her eyes a bit and stared at the man above her. She was still in shock, not really realizing what she was doing. She tried getting away, but couldn't get up. "Don't be scared" Charlie continued in a calm voice. Amanda layed down again, her face down into the sand. Charlie carefully turned her round. "There's a doctor here. You'll be fine again." He whispered encouragely to her. Amanda groaned in a semi-concious daze. Charlie looked back to Claire shaking his head again. "Poor girl" he said.

The sun was almost setting but the sky was still lightened by the burning wreckage of the crashed airplane. Jack was exhausted. All the survivors were at the edge of the jungle and all the bodies were placed somewhere further on the beach. He sat down with the group and closed his eyes for a moment: there was still alot to be done but first they all needed to rest. And perhaps later Jack had time to look at that gash at his back, which started to hurt more during the day.

Sawyer looked at his quarry, his stash: alot of money, a watch which still worked, some books and a bottle of vodka. Silently he sipped the bottle while eying the group of other survivors. He didn't know what to do, but he knew he would on his own. He had to take care of himself to survive.

Claire reached Charlie and the girl under the tree" "ehi" she said to her "it's okay, you're going to be fine. there is a doctor and...well, we'll be ok I think" she countinued, trying to encourage her.

Amanda could hear the womans' voice above her...soft...comforting...she gripped her hand and slowly drifted away into sleep, whimpering a bit. "No..." she whispered, turning around a bit. "No...no..." Charlie turned to Claire. "We should go and get the doctor for her." he said. "She needs medical help." He stood up. "Would you take care for her a bit?" He turned and walked over to a group of other survivors, where he saw the man he had seen earlier as he has helped Claire. "Doctor...we need you over there" he began. "There's another pregant woman. She's injured. I think...you should look at her."

Trista has jumped and screamed as the engine had exploded. Once she saw everything was fine she went over to where the bodies of the dead were being piled and sat. The explosion had brought back memories, memories of this she didn't want to remember, ever. Closing her eyes she willed the sound of the explosion away from her mind. After she seemed to have silenced it she heard some one moving around and opened her eyes to she the blue eyes man again. "Why do I see you every where, are you stalking me." She asked as he rummged through he pockets of the dead. "Its also wrong to do that you know."

((Trista's history had a sneak peek, can you guess?? I will be making lost of hints at what happened as this moves on, Before I revial the whole story. Just like in the show.))

Sawyer looked up at the girl and groaned "Who are you to tell me about whether things are right or wrong?" He stood and said: "We're here on an island for God knows how long, it's every man for himself sweetie." and with that he walked off.

Jack went over to the girl who was apparantly pregnant too and noticed she'd fainted again. "Can you hear me?" he asked her, while he examined her clothes for blood. There was no answer. He turned to Charlie "You.. -what's your name?- please, can you help me by making campfires. Everyone should remain warm this night."

"I'm Charlie" he said to the doctor. "Sure" he said, leaving the group, heading to the forest to search around for some wood they could use to burn.

Amanda slowly opened her eyes again as she heard a mans' voice. She saw a few people leaning over her, she didn't know what was going on. "What...Who..." she stuttered, forcing herself to stay awake. "What happened? Where...am I?"

Claire remained with the woman while Charlie went looking for the doctor. he came back with him after a few minutes. he started examining her, then asked charlie if he could help making campfires. "I can help too"claire said to the doctor "if there is someting I can do.."

Trista rolled her eyes at the blue eyed man's attitude. "Whatever." She mutter before geting up to find something to do. Looking around ahe saw that alot of people had things to do, no one needed help, or at least thats what she thought until she saw a guy leave two women and another man. "Hey need any help?" She asked the man who was collecting wood now, noting that it was obvious that both of the women he left were pregnant. A painful memory started to work its way to the front of her mind, before she pushed it away again.
