Dara lay along the branch of a tree overhanging a main road that led through the forest; lightly doseing. In the showdow of the trunk Fianna crouched watchful, gaurding her master, ready to wake him if there was the slightest sighn of life on the road.

Gotrek was at his smithy, in the Dwark Keep of Karak Kadrin. All that could be heard from the forge was the ring of steel, and the occasional dwarf curse word.
After having finished work on that blade he was making, he left his forge, and took off his apron. His eyes cast onto a fresh shirt, and he wiped off the sweat from his body. He washed his face in the stone basin, and walked out of his home towards the Iron Door, the nastiest, roughest inn in the Keep, which is saying something. He strode into it, and said hello to several dwarves on the way to the Bar. He greeted the inkeeper with a grunt, and the innkeeper said "The usual Gotrek?" in a even, normal voice. "Aye, same as always" He replied in his voice, grating as ever. Soon, he returned, with several tankards of Dwarf ale, cold and strong.Gotrek mumbled his thanks,a nd gave the man a gold piece, and began to drink his ale...

Raina rode along the main road that would lead into a forest, a hood shrouding her fair features. She knew the dangers of traveling along a road at night, but she had grown both restless and weary of town life. Her heart longed to avenge her kin and for her greatest desire to transpire, she needed to keep moving. She was now a wanderer, a woman with no country and even fewer connections. Pausing for a brief moment to survey the darkness, she urge her steed forward, ready to enter the darkness of the woods.

(Anduril-can my character run into yours?)

Vincent walked along the wooded path that led through the great forest. His slightly hunched figure was covered by a tattered and fading red cloak and robe. A sword was hidden underneath the mage robes he wore. Long black hair and a black beard outlined his face. He walked along, using his black mage's staff like a walking stick. Vincent sung softly to himself as he walked.

"The road goes ever on and on,
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the road has gone,
And I must follow it if I can.
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until I find some larger way.
Where many paths and erands meet,
And whither then I cannot say
."

Vincent stopped suddenly, and looked on the road ahead of him. A horse and rider was heading towards him. Vincent decided to wait for the rider to come closer to him before making another move.

(that would be Raina.... the horse and rider)

((and I'm so happy! I quoted that song from FotR book from memory without having to look it up! *is happy*))

(Good job Eruraina!)

Raina continued down the road, pausing slightly when she saw a solitary figure in the distance (Vincent). He seemed to be waiting...watching her every move. Frowning slightly, she wondered if she could continue the path of choose another. Making up her mind, she continued to stay along the path, as there was no quicker means through the woods. Yet, she remained guarded, one hand ready to grab her sword if need be as she drew nearer to the stranger.

Amlis was sitting between the big roots of a willow tree, her favourite tree in the whole forest. it grew on the shores of a lake, a beautiful scenery, framed by the mountains.

it was very early in the morning, the period of the day that Amlis loved the most. she used to spend most of her time in the woods. the contact with the nature made her feel alive and happy beyond description.

a noise of trampled leaves reached her hears, but she did not turn. there was someone, behind her, but she did not fear him.

"my lady Amlis" said the voice. Amlis turned "Narya" she said "vey early in the morning you come to visit me". "I'm sorry if I do bother you my lady, but I come with very important news" "tell me then" "messengers arrived yesterday in the realm. messengers from the humans. the queen wants to see you, and a few other elves of the realm"

Amlis nodded. she knew that moment would come "let me gather my things, Narya" she said "and then I'll follow you to the palace"

Vincent watched the rider, and soon when it was close enough, he could tell by the style of riding that it was a human. Good. A raised a hand to the rider.
"Hair fellow human, I mean no harm if ye mean none," he called when Raina came in ear shot, his voice low and full of wisdom...

(Guys I made a little change in the first post giving more info for the quest of the good guys-please read it!)

The night was moonless. None was to be seen on the road- the rumors of wandering undead creatures scared the people of Daenmoor: nobody dared to travel alone after sunset.
Suddenly a thud of hoofs broke the silence. Galloping fast, a rider, cloaked with light warp, appeared from the North. Unexpected he turned his horse off the road and rode through the fields- to the Forest of Darkness-the border between the Human Kingdom and the Realm of the undead.
Approaching the woods the rider stopped and unmounted his horse. He looked around and when he was sure that he wasn’t followed, he disappeared between the shadows of the trees.

The air in the forest was stuffy and hard to be breathed. Darkness was surrounding the trees- only the bright mist could be followed as a path, but very often it was leading to one of the many swamps, where the lost traveler could find nothing else but his death.
Once these woods were green and filled with the warmth of the sun but now they implanted only fear in the people’s hearts.
Somewhere between the night shades the twinkling light of a camp fire was to be seen.

“She’s late” said one of the undead soldiers. His appearance was horrifying- He looked like a walking skeleton, clad in old, rusty armor.
“Maybe she’s caught by the humans” said another one. “They're on high alert these days. Since Crain broke through their miserable defense, they doubled the sentries and the scouts.”
“No, I don’t believe Biara to leave herself easy to the humans. She’s clever enough to avoid the humans' troops.”
“Shhhh! Someone’s coming” whispered one of the skeletons.

Between the bushes a figure of a hooded human appeared.
“A human! Get him” shouted the first skeleton.
“It’s me, you fools!” said Biara, revealing her face. She threw angry look at the undead creatures.
“Biara?” asked the first skeleton.
“Who did you expected? Use your rotten brain at least for once,Gertin! The humans don't dare to invade this forest- especially during the night!”
The skeleton still stared at Biara with surprise:
“What happened to you? Why do you look like one of them?”
“You ask too many questions, Gertin. The Necromancer doesn’t keep you alive to make inquires about his plans. Now move your old bones and prepare to leave- Azura is waiting for us already!”

Gotrek was now almost drunk. He was on his Fifteenth pint pot of Dwarven ale, potent and refreshing. He tugged his own beard and ate more of the dwarven waybread in front of him. The light at the bar was too bright; he thought, and he lifted his tankard and food off the bar's wooden surface, and moved towards a small scrubbed wooden table in the corner, next to the cool stone wall, where it was nice and shadowed. He felt a slight bump in his shoulder, and he turned rapidly to see who had dared to touch him thus.
It was a human, a merchant like who had come to trade human goods such as cloth, livestock and other such things for pottery, jewellry and the famed Kadrin Steel, a steel that was stronger, lighter and retained an edge better than any human steel.
Gotrek put down his pint and food savagely and shoved the merchant with one meaty hand. "Next time Human, watch where you go, before someone teaches you manners" he spat with such venom that the merchant looked amazed. The man retorted "Well, my stout friend, if I need to learn manners, then you need to learn patience." The merchant's friends began to crack their knuckles, and the Barman's head fell into his hands.

They would regret that gesture, he thought.

Gotreks fist, powered by his massive smithy's arms struck the merchant square in the face, and he fell backwards as if a battering ram had hit him rather than a fist. The merchants friends came at Gotrek, armed with knuckledusters. Obviously skilled tavern brawlers, still unprepared for a fight with a dwarven smith. Gotrek caught ones hand as he tried to hit him, and suddenly thrust his hand backwards, breaking his wrist. The other aimed a punch straight at Gotrek's bent nose with all his might, only to meet fresh air. Gotrek had ducked it easily, and had struck the other man with all his might in the groin. All three men lay groaning on the floor, and with the efficiency of constant training, three heavyset dwarven bouncers laid into Gotrek at a gesture of the Barman's. Gotrek was knocked out cold, and was carried back to his house by the bouncers.
Another night, as normal then.......

(i'm sorry, my compuetr crashed and i counldn't get on)

Fianna uttered a soft whine and Dara was immediatly awake, though he did not move. His black eyes survayed the road and made out two riders greeting each other. They looked human, and he had come here in order to find others that were not of his clan...but still.
An arrow thuded into the ground between them both.
"Name yourselves and your buissness?" he commanded, his voice harsh and with a thick accent.
Whilst fireing the arrow he'd moved to a diffrent branch and had another arrow on the string.

Azura still sat alone by the fire, waiting for the deer to be fully cooked, absorbed in her own thoughts. "Come on Biara...." she murmered. "Where are you??"

((Anduril, are you refering to Vincent and Raina? If so, Vincent doesn't have a horse, so he's not a rider...))

Edit:

Vincent took a step back when an arrow came between he and the rider, obviously from someone in the trees. He ran a finger through his long hair.
"I am Vincent Stormblade of the Mage's guild. And who might you be, stranger in the trees?"

(Sorry, I could not respond earlier Rain-I had school...)

Raina pulled on the reins and drew her steed back as she turned her attention to the trees. Drawing back her hood for the first time, her golden locks blew about her in the breeze as her steely aqua gaze sought to locate their attacker. "I am Raina Narmolanya, daughter of Algren and Almárëa. I seek only the destruction of the Necromancer. If you are neither a servant nor friend of the Dark One consider me not an adversary and I shall do the same. Hinder me, and I shall fight you to the bitter end." she replied evenly, awaiting the reply from the warrior in the trees.

Dara smiled and let a small whistle fly. Fianna came bounding out of the shadows and as she passed underneath he landed on her back.
Whispered something and she stopped a few yards away from them.
He sat there astride his dog, the bow still drawn against them. After a muinit ir two he nodded and uncocked his bow. "I am Dara of the Tuatha Clan. I am not a freind of the necromancer." He smiled at them both.
"I'm sorry for my arrow, but one cannot be too safe, and i have not met people outside my Clan since the War." he explained

the elven queen's palace was only a few hours away from the woods where Amlis loved to spend her days. she was following Narya, an elf way younger than her, through her beloved trees, lost in her thoughts.

She knew that moment would come. she knew about the spreading power of the Necromancer, and about the danger that her people risked.

"what did the messengers said to the queen?" amlis asked to Narya. "I do not know, my lady. my only task was to come and call you. I'm not involved in the high politics of our queen" she answered. nothing new
Amlis thought.

((Aerlinn, I was thinking that Amlis and Nerys could both be called by the queen, and meet before going to talk to her, what do you think?))
