Beth bit her lip lightly. "Ah." She stated, then turning to Mick.

Mick looked at Katrina. "I need to talk to Beth." He stated as he strode over to the reporter. "Now, tell me what you saw. About the murder." He stated.

Beth looked at Mick, and then at Katrina. "I think a... you-know-what.... might have done it. Might have done you-know, to the model, and, that it why we can't figure out what was the cause of her death." Beth stated, trying not to mention the word vampire, or drink, or blood.

Katrina sighed, she relised this talk was not for her ears. "Mick, if I am staying, how if I get my stuff put away." She said. "That way you can talk with me around."

Mick nodded slightly. "Go ahead." He stated as he glanced at her, but then glanced back at Beth. "After you had left the crime scene, I did go and take a look. Yes, from what I saw and scented, she was attacked by a vampire. An ancient one, trapped forever in a children's body. I will have to try and track him down, he could be dangerous." Mick whispered to Beth.

Beth nodded slowly, deciding to change the subject. "What happened between you and Katrina. Was it before... you know...Coraline." Beth whispered to Mick.

Mick looked at Beth. "Before, now stop trying to switch the subject." He stated, trying to change the subject back.

Katrina had gotten her stuff and was putting it away in the guestroom. As she unpacked she sighed. "How can I tell him, how can I." Shaking her head she sighed. "I can't, not yet."

Beth pursed her lips for a moment, waying her options. She then handed him a manila folder, containing information on the case. "This folder contains information on the girl, where she died and who they think might have done it and how she died." Beth stated. She then turned on her heel. "I am heading out." She stated, saying goodbye to Mick.

Mick said goodbye to Beth and then after she had left, he placed the folder ontop of his desk. Mick then sat down on his leather couch, thinking in thought. He would have to act fast if he wanted to track the ancient vampire.

Katrina came ot intothe living room, using the crutches she had been given and had yet to use. "Mick." She said meekly. She wanted to tell him, now they were alone what had happened to her. "Do you have anything to eat, I am getting kinda hungry. Any fruit or bread?" She asked.

Mick pursed his lips, he didn't eat human food. "What do you want, I will order in, they will deliver it here." He stated as he grabbed his cellphone and opened it in one fluid movement. He stood poised, looked at Katrina, waiting for her to answer.

Katrina smiled. "Pizza. I love pizza, and have it hawaian, and pepperoni." She said as she sat, her arms getting tired.

Mick shook his head. There was no way she could be a vampire, but there were still some signs that she was. He phoned in pizza and ordered it. Ten minutes later his doorbell rang. Glancing at the sceen to see who it was outside, Mick opened the door and quickly paid for the pizza, then shutting the door and walking back over to Katrina. He helped her sit down on his couch, then handed her the pizza box. Mick walked out of the room, returning later with a plate. He also handed her the plate, then he sat down next to her.

Katrina gazed at the pizza, and just as Mick handed her the plate her stomach growled. She giggled as Mick sat. "I guess this is what I get fro not eating since last night. Old habits are hard to break, I still skip breakfast." She said before starting to eat, making yummy noises as she did. After having three slices she looked at Mick. "You want some, Mick. Its good."

Mick glanced at the pizza, then at Katrina. "That's ok. I'm not hungry." He stated as he looked at her one more time, before focusing on a part of his house. How would he be able to "drink" around her, she might not be a vampire and he just couldn't drink blood around her. He shook his head slightly. When Katrina went to bed he would.

Katrina shrugged and continued to eat the pizza. When she finished she sat back and looked at Mick. "I really missed you, Mick, I missed this. Living together. I just wish that . . ." She looked away, feeling the tears start to come, how long had it been, still she couldn't forget, she never told anyone and it was eating at her slowly.

Mick turned his attention to Katrina, and he looked at her intently. "You just wish what?" He asked, encouraging her to continue. He, himself was still pondering over the question if Katrina was a vampire or not. She had human traits mostly, but she didn't age.

Katrina neede to tell Mick, she knew that. "I just wish I wasn't choosen to be a guina pig." She said as she felt the tears start to fall.

Mick looked at Katrina. Slightly confused, then he thought of only one thing that she could be talking about. "You were turned into a vampire." Mick stated to her, his eyes dull, his face emotionless. He had not wished that the same fate that had happened to him happen to her as well, but it had.
