Aaron licked his dry lips idly. It seemed like he and two of the others had switched thinking processes. Usually he would have jumped at the idea to get justice and revenge. But, it must have been the death of their friend yesterday that change his way of thinking, so he was hessitant.
"So, you all are willing to risk the extinction of the Merta for something that we're not even sure exists," Aaron looked up at Semmy. "Would they want us to do this? Would the deseased want us to die for revenge?"

(wow... I really hadn't meant to make Aaron such an optomistic character... but it just sort of happened....)

"If we want out with the soul purposed of revenge," Semmy began slowly, "then no, I could not see those who have gone before giving us their blessing. And even if they would, I could not see us succeeding with revenge as out goal. The anger and hate that come from revenge blinds and makes it so we don't think strait. We would certainly be exterminated. Yet, if go looking for justice for those that were killed and those us who are still being wronged, I believe that would cheer us on.
As to the extinction of our race, we face that all ready. To keep our race going then we would need to start families. Would any of you be willing to bring a child into this world and as him or her to live the life we now live? The life they would know would be that of a life of running and hiding; sneaking around as to not cause suspicion about a band of people living in the woods. I would not as my child to go through this. I could not." Semmy looked at the faces of her friends around her. "I am willing to take these chances for hope. I would see justice for the people I love."

"And sometimes justice and revenge can get mixed together," Aaron simply said. "Though majority rules, I'm still hesitant on this. But I'll still do what the rest of you decide to do."

Amlis followed with interest the exchange of words between Aaron and Semmy. She knew that Aaron was right, yet they could not go on forever like that.
"What will we do, anyway? Go and look for informations?" she asked.

"Firt we'd have to go back to what use to be our village," Semmy answered turning to address Amlis's question. "Once we actually know if the information is there, we'll figure out what the information is and go from there." It was kind of vague answer, but Semmy didn't even know if the information they seek was there. For all she knew the solders had found what ever was suppose to be there and destroyed it long ago. Which was not a comforting thought.

"I agree," said Dregde in respons to Semmy. Dispite it being vauge, it seemed like a good course of action. He looked over at Aaron, giving him a reasuring look, trying to giving him a little more confidence in the idea.

"Then we will leave in the morning. Our first stop will be at our old village." Semmy managed to give a small, forced smile to her friends around her. "We should all get something to eat and then try to sleep. It is a long walk back to the village." With that advice She turned and headed back to camp. The fire was still going and Semmy reset herself to roasting up some meat.

After awhile, Semmy stared vacantly into the fire as different thoughts and memories surfaced. At least for her, it was going to be a long night. She'd known she'd have to deal with the past sometime, but she had hoped that maybe she would have been more prepared.

Aaron remained silent, and nodded a half-hearted agreement to Semmy's orders. He watched her walk off, wondering what other things she was keeping secret. But Aaron was keeping a few of his own secrets, so he guessed it was alright for her to have hers.

He straightened himself and glanced up at the sky. By the possision of the moon, he could tell it was a few hours before midnight. Aaron caught Dredge's reassuring look. This did put more confidence in him. He made a mental note to thank his friend in the morning. Now he was getting tired, and he could smell the meat Semmy was cooking, making his mouth water.

With a half smile to Dredge and the others, Aaron walked after Semmy to the camp, and took a seat on the opposite side on a fallen log. He remained quiet, listening to the crackle of the fire...

Analise nodded wordlessly as she listened to Semmy's orders. The moon shone brightly overhead, bathing the woods in soft light. So now it comes to pass, she thought to herself, keeping her feelings hidden from the rest gathered. For years she wanted to know the truth, and now that she knew a part of it, she felt as if her world was about to change. Rising from her seat, she followed Semmy and Aaron to the camp and sat on one of the free logs. For a brief moment, she gazed into the flames, its orange light reflecting against in her eyes. She then raised her face upward, lost in thought as she gazed up at the stars.

Amlis silently agreed to Semmy's words. She stood there as the others slowly came back to the camp. She sat on the grass, looking at the start. Her life was going to change, after being the same for so long, and she was both scared and determined.
Finally, she stood up and walked to the camp.

A few birds sang a chorus that echoed through the woods. Color filled the sky announcing the arrival of dawn. As color fell from the sky and through the branches of the trees Semmy tilted her head towards it, letting the golden gleams fall on her face. She had a waken an hour or so ago in a cold sweat, breathing hard. I guess my nightmares are back. After calming her run away nerves, Semmy took to standing by a tree waiting for the refuge of dawn. Now that it was here, she still hadn't found a refuge.

Amlis woke up as the sky started to color. It took a few minutes for her to remember their last night's conversation and decisions. She sat on the ground and gave a look around, to see if the others were still sleeping.

Aaron had slept for a few hours, but had awaken when the moon was gone, and the light of the sun was still about an hour away from just touching the night sky. For awhile he just lay there, then sat up. While he waited for the others to wake, he revived the embers of the fire and got a small cooking fire going. He made breakfast for everyone. Some fresh jerky from stored meat from his pack.

After a moment he noticed Semmy was up, and then soon Amlis.
"Breakfast," he said, holding out some jerky for either of them...

Amlis smiled at Aaron, taking the jerky he was holding to her.
"Thanks" she said "You' haven't slept a lot too, have you? I guess we're all pretty nervous.."

Dregde yawned, rolling over and blinking. He had slepted fitfullly, during what little sleep he managed to get. He stood and streached, joints popping, than walked over to were the other's were, "'Morning," he said, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

Aaron nodded to Amlis.
"Little sleep can be found for anyone these days," he said, and watched Dredge walk up.
"Morning," Aaron replied. "Want some jerky?"
