"Look, I didn't want to work with Sark. I didn't even want to see him. The reason as to why it hits a sore spot is maybe because everyone thinks that I wanted to work with him again. I know what I did in the past, but that's behind me. I know that I'll never be treated with the same respect, and that no one really trusts me anymore. But, it is behind me. So if you want to continue prying into my past history with Sark, be my guest. Because whatever I ever had with him, is over. And there's no point to dwell on it." Kali said, looking at Sydney in the eye straight back.

Sydney looked Kali back in the eye.
"The reason nobody trusts you is that if you turn once, you can turn again Kali. We all know it, you, me and Sark. Try to convince yourself i'm wrong all you want, somewhere deep inside of you, you still want to be working with Sark." She said evenly.

"Oh yes. I certainly do know it. Sydney, I understand you're mad that I turned to the wrong side, but when are you going to let go of the idea that I 'still want to be working with Sark.'? Then again, I already know the answer to that. Everyone else thinks that anyways, you guys will never let go of the idea. I made mistakes, Sydney, but I have corrected them. And just because it's not good enough for you, it makes no difference. I'm still here, and I'm not going anywhere." Kali said.

"And what would you do if you were put in a situation that you were instructed to kill Sark. Would you be able to kill him?" She asked.

Kali lowered her eyelids for a moment before looking back up at Sydney.
"Sark has already betrayed me, he was only using me. If I was put in a situation that I had to kill him, yes..." She paused.
"I would kill him." She said, finally.

"But you still love him don't you?"

"Did I ever really even 'love' Sark in the first place? I don't even know the answer myself, but as for now, I do know. I do not love Sark at all. He is as he should have always stayed, my enemy." She said.

Sydney took a sip of coffee again.
"And yet that could change in time and then what Kali? Would you hesitate to kill him? Would you join him again?" Syd said.

"There is simply no letting go with you there, is there?" Kali stood from her seat.
"I do not have to sit here and listen to this never-ending game of whether Kali 'is the bad guy still'." Kali said.

"Haven't you learned I never let go by now? Have you seen me and Sloane? But I'll stop."

"Yes. I know, I still haven't gotten over Sloane either, but I can't really say anything, because of my past history. I know you better then you think Sydney, we used to work together before at SD-6, before things started to change." Kali said, before starting to leave.

"I know you know me best Kali. That's why I'm trying to trust you again, but so much has happened in my life that trust is getting harder." Sydney said as Kali started to get up from her seat.

Kali sighed and smiled at Sydney.
"Thanks." She said before putting money down on the table to pay for her Cappuccino. She left the cafe, and walked to the parking lot where she had left her car. She got in the driver seat and drove to her house, she unlocked her door when she got there and walked inside.
