Obi-Wan nodded at Reia wishing he had her confidence in flying. He murmered a good-bye as she left. But then he turned to Anakin and Padme. His apprentice looked nervous and shy while the Senator just looked plain happy. "Our prescence here while be invisible here I can assure you my lady."

Padme nodded at Reia as she left. "It's great to see you Reia." But then she turned to Obi-Wan. "I don't need more security, I need answers. I want to know who is trying to kill me."

Reia climbed into the cockpit. She pulled on her helmet and waited for the roll call. "Red leader standing by."

"Red one standing by." She looked down to make sure her communicator was on. What if-

"Red six standing by."

She looked up quickly and said, "Red seven standing by."

"Launch now," said another voice into her radio. She took off. One fighter came at her, and she heard mock blaster blasts. She pulled up. "Good break, Antilles," said the same voice. Her wingman pulled up on her right.

"Alright," she said, "When the torpedoes come at us, break right and I'll break left," she said. The fighter came toward her. "One..." she said, "Two..." she heard its launchers preparing. "Three! Break right!" she said. She broke left, and they evaded it. She smiled and pulled above an obstacle to see the setting sun.

By the time she pulled into the landing strip, it was deep in the night. She opened the cockpit and heard a beeping. She looked down - it was her communicator; something had happened at Padme's. She cursed and jumped out of the fighter. She pulled off her helmet and dropped it onto the seat - where they usually kept them - and ran toward the building. Everyone else was barely getting out and congratulating eachother. So what if she made first place? She was free to go and had things to do.

Suddenly, a huge explosion was heard behind her and she was blasted off her feet. She turned - her fighter was on fire. She cursed again and ran into the building to check in with her commanding officer.

Obi-Wan's comlink went off. "Yes?" he asked.

"Craft #3579, pilot Lt. Antilles, has just exploded on base."

Hmmm...Anakin should be speaking with the Chancellor and Obi-Wan will go to Reia.

"What!?" Obi-Wan practicly shouted into the communicator. "Where is she?" When no one responded his eyes widened. "She...she isn't dead?" He felt like someone had punched him several times in the stomach and then had cut his side open with his own lightsaber.

"Her helmet was found in the wreckage, but-" the voice paused, and another voice could be heard in the background. A few moments later, he said, "She is fine, she wasn't in the fighter at the time of the explosion. She has just checked in with Major Milen with minor scratches."

Obi-Wan sighed in relief but he still needed to get to her just so he could see for himself. If he didn't he'd never stop worrying. "Tell her that Obi-Wan Kenobi is coming to see her."

"Yes, sir." Said the voice.

Reia sat on the hospital bed with a few "band-aids" and a wrap on her ankle - it hurt her a bit. She looked up quickly when she heard someone in the room. "Master Kenobi is here to see you," said Milen.

"Thank you," she said. She looked up at him, half-embarassed because of her appearance, half-proud of her uniform, and knew she was a bit too relieved to see him.

Obi-Wan walked through the door and sighed. "You're alright! I thought you were dead!" He walked over to her and he wanted to shake and say "See? I TOLD YOU FLYING WAS NOTHING BUT TROUBLE!"

Reia looked up at him. "I'm alright." He sat next to her and she looked up at him. "I was out of my fighter when it exploded....I don't know why it did...." she paused, then looked back up at him, right into his icy blue eyes. "They thought I was dead because I got out earlier than everyone else and had already stored my helmet in the craft." She put her hand on his and smiled, saying, "It's <i>alright!</i>"
