Timothy turned around and whispered harshly in his daughter's hair, "Stop it right now, or I'm taking you out of this room and you won't be able to even see Edward!"
The Scientist of N.A.S.A hovered over the patient, his pearly white teeth grinning out of his mouth. He had worked with machines, but never done a surgery. That was the tricky thing about this patient, he was half man and half machine. A team of surgeons had been called in to deal with the human half, and N.A.S.A and their technician team would deal with the machine half.
The Scientist would have done anything to have met Edward's inventor. He must have been a genius.
"Has he been injected?" The Scientist asked the head surgeon. The head surgeon nodded.

Lucy squeezed her mouth tightly but muted screams and cries still came from it. She tried to calm herself, but couldn't at the moment. Lucy had worked herself up so much that she did not know how to bring everything back to normal.
Clinging tightly to her father's shirt, she pulled and twisted it in her small hands, out of frustration, anger, and fear.

Timothy still kept his back turned away from the window in the ground where Edward's operation was about to begin.
"Stop it. Stop it right now. You need to calm down Lucy." Although his voice was stern and angry with his daughter he rubbed the back of her head lovingly.

Lucy tried and tried but the gasps and tears continued to come from within. She wrapped her arms around her father's neck and grasped the collar strongly.
Her watery brown eyes looked toward the window sadly. She wanted this all to stop. What were they going to do to Edward? Were they going to hurt him?
