James smiled shortly. He knew Remus. They were friends for a long time. He was hoping that Remus wouldn't hide anything. This time James decided to let go, to let his friend decide what he will say. He raised from his chair.
"So, will they let you go anytime soon or you'll be doomed to have your breakfast in here?"

"I was going down to breakfast before you barged in," Remus said with a wry smile. He tucked his wand into his robe pocket as they left together from the hospital wing. "How's Lily?"

James finally grinned. Just like always, his timing sucked. But as Remus mentioned Lily, James' smile faded. He quickly looked down and ran his fingers trough his hair for the first time that morning. He didn't know. He didn't stay by her last night.
"No idea." he said shortly and quietly. He raised his head and quickly changed subject "Lets go then. I bet that the others can't wait to see you."

Remus glanced at his mate askance. Still, if James didn't want to talk about it, it was none of his business. He shrugged as he regarded Prongs's ruffled hair.

"I don't suppose you understand the meaning of a comb?"

James grimaced and glanced straight at Remus' hair which was perfectly still as always "Yes I did. You remember that Sirius lost mine and since he broke yours last night I couldn't use it." he said and grinned "And come on. Move! I'm hungry."

Remus whistled and shook his head in disbelief. They passed Fiona and Lily in the corridor. He winced, met Fiona's gaze for a tremulous moment, then averted his eyes. Fiona was angry with him. It was better this way - for her safety, of course.

Then why did he feel so bloody frustrated?

Entering the great hall, Remus saw that Dumbledore had covered up last night's incident well. He received no more than a few greetings from fellow Griffindors and the occassional, "Your fever better?"

Arthur Weasely scooted over to them as they sat down. "Hey, mates. Look at this." He shoved a newspaper under Remus's nose.

Fiona sighed.
"It was his secret Lil, i feel he wouldn't have told me" she said glumly as they walked down the passage to the Hospital Wing, they walked in silence and as they neared Fiona could hear voices emitting from inside; she looked at Lily and took a deep breath.
"ready?" she asked as she placed her hand on the door knob....

Lily nodded, sighed a last time and followed her friend in. She saw james and was struck by a mixture of feelings: She was so happy to see him again...But wher had he been last night, when she had barely escaped from a werewolf?

Fiona spotted Remus in the hallway, he was heading towards the Great Hall, and from the direction he had come from, it showed that he had just been released from the hospital wing, she sighed and looked at Lily.
"Breakfast?" she asked as she diverted their course after the boys.
They entered the hall and sat down at the Gryffindor table, across the way from Remus and James, she smiled at James and glanced at Remus, just so he knew that she was acknowledging him.

Sirius sat down at the breakfast table, his hair a little messy from not combing it, but still he managed to pull on some clothes that just passed, he noticed Danni first and went over, kissed on the top of the head.
"Morning" he said in a groggy voice, he sat down next to her and beside James, he looked across and smiled at Remus.
"Morning you two" he said as he poured himself a mug of tea, he then nodded his head at Lily and Fiona as he took a sip.

James partially ignored Arthur as he suddenly appeared by them. He figured that Arthur would say something serious and he just wasn't in the mood for that. As well, he figured that Remus will listen so he could always ask later. He grabbed an apple from the plate and smiled back at Fiona as she sat down.
"Morning." he said and raised his eyebrows as he saw the look on Sirius' face "And looks like it's pretty good one."
He quickly glanced at Fiona once again wondering where is Lily. She was the only one missing.

Lily appeared from behind of Fiona and stared at James.
"Good morning." she said bluntly.
She sat down opposite James and started eating a piece of toast, ignoring him.

James put the apple back down on his plate and looked up. He missed something obviously. He looked at Lily and once again that morning, raised his eyebrows. Seriously, he didn't know what was wrong this time. Or precisely - what he did wrong this time.

Lily frowned at the look of confusion on James' face.
"Er...So...James - We need to talk..."

This didn't sound good. 'We - need - to - talk' was the phrase which couldn't ever mean something good. And especially when it came from Lily. That could mean only one thing...
He almost could feel that he is loosing all the colour from his cheeks. He discreetly took one deep breath and nodded.
"Alright. Somewhere where we can get some privacy, right? You lead. I will follow."

Lily lead him to the gardens and sat down, gesturing for him to sit down too.
She saw the look in his eyes and smiled.
"Don't worry, mate." she mumbled,"I'm not going to dump you! It's about last night...What happened? Where were you? Did you know? I barely escaped from Remus..."
